Great space - our Go-To spot in Whistler

  • 5 of 5

Just booked our 4th stay in this unit - it's our go-to spot for the annual Whistler vacation for our family of 6. Close to restaurants and grocery, quick walk to the free shuttle to the mountain (a couple minute ride - much easier than walking in ski boots), and a great place to hang out comfortably (in the unit or in the courtyard). Good kitchen space and room to stretch out a bit. Good parking and quick access if you need to drive...but we rarely drive once we get there. 'Mud room' area has space for gear so we're not stepping over it. We had to contact the owners once for some issue (can't remember what it was) ...but I remember they were super responsive. Nice little family retreat.

Great Apartment in Whistler

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at Glacier's Reach. It is well located near Market Place, and the apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Great Location. Needs Maintenance.

  • 3 of 5

Things were great but for what we payed we expected a bit more. However being the holiday season we the prices were marked up.

Here is my review:

We ran out of toilet paper on the second said in the brochure there should have been enough for 3 to 4 days, but with 6 of us that didn't happen.

We couldn't find the boot dryer and it stated that there was one in the home.

The laundry machine made terrible squeaky noises and we couldn't do laundry while we were sitting in the living room because it was so loud.

There was a door off of the hinges in the tv stand in the guest room just sitting on the floor.

There was a hole kicked in the bathroom door in the guest bathroom.

There were only a few regular glasses to drink from....but there were an unlimited number of wine glasses.

The shower heads were terrible and didn't spray very well.

The stove needed to be cleaned. When we used it for the first time it started smoking from the debris on it and we thought the fire alarm was going to go off.

The location was perfect.

The hot tub was well maintained.

Owner's Response: It is always appreciated and useful to have criticism as well as praise for our vacation rental. Regrettably, during the busy holiday season we tend to get larger groups who can be hard on the unit and we do not always have an opportunity to know about or repair our place without bumping an upcoming guest to accomplish it. In hindsight, I should have alerted our guest to the small hole at the bottom of the door and the tendency for our guests to remove the door from the armoire for better viewing. the stove and lack of glassware is an issue I will take up with our cleaning firm immediately. A total of 4 rolls of TP are supplied and for a large group of people, that may not be enough for 3-4 days. Our washer has been serviced. Thank you for all your comments!

A great weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We were 6 adults and had a fantastic time at this condo.

We drove up, parked our cars in the secure underground lot (where there was plenty of space), and didn't drive again until we left. As has been mentioned, the Marketplace IGA grocery store and BC Liquor Store are conveniently located across the street, as is the free shuttle to the lifts, which comes every 7 minutes in the morning and afternoon and only takes a few minutes (you can also make the 15-ish minute walk to the gondola if you are so inclined).

The condo itself was excellent. The hot tub was lovely, the kitchen is well-stocked and the beds in the bedrooms are very comfortable. The layout is very functional and open - even with 6 adults it never felt crowded, whether sitting in the living room or around the dining table.

Lastly, the owner was very helpful and communicative, even organizing some last-minute help on our arrival in Whistler, which was truly appreciated.

All in all, I completely recommend this condo and will definitely have it in mind for a future visit!

Our family had a wonderfu...

Our family had a wonderful vacation here during the Olympics. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, there was plenty of room and the location was very convenient. There is a grocery store and liquor store right across the street in the Market Place. Parking was easy in the underground parking. Once we arrived we never used our car. We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again soon.

We just got back from a 4...

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a 4 night stay at this condo last night. I highly recommend this location, although I think it would be crowded with 7 people (we were 5 adults, and it was fine for that number). The location was great. We drove up from Vancouver, and then never got in the car again until it was time to leave. Just walk across the street for the free shuttle to the mountain. Every night we walked to a different good restaurant. The IGA grocery and a liquor store were also only a 5 minute walk. The condo was clean and attractively furnished and the beds were comfortable. We had a problem with the hot tub the first night (too hot) but the repair service came promptly to fix it. I really don't have anything negative to say.

Owner's Response: Our family is happy that you were comfortable here. We offered the 7th (twin) bed mostly for teens or the occasional guest.
