Virginia and JW Eads
About Virginia and JW Eads
We are Midwesterners having lived in Illinois, Indiana, Missoui and Oklahoma. So how did we come own a home and settle in South Carolina? For 10 years we have also owned a sailboat on which we lived fulltime after selling our home in St Louis, MO in 2010. We sailed up and down the East Coast of the United States having gone as far north as Nova Scotia Canada and as far south as Guadaloupe in the Caribbean. We didn't intend to buy a home until 3 years from now but the right property became available and we couldn't pass it up.
Virginia and JW Eads purchased this House in 2017
Why Virginia and JW Eads chose Port Royal Landing
This home sits in a unique enviroment in Port Royal, SC in Beaufort County. We are 3 miles from Beaufort, SC and a 30 minute drive from Hilton Head Island, SC. We are also between Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. This house is part of the Port Royal Landing Marina and Village. For us this home provides a full waterfront view of the Beaufort River which is part of the Intercoastal Waterway from our covered back porch, living room and Master Bedroom with balconies from both upstairs bedrooms. The house is the right size for us with an open concept of kitchen, dining and living areas and Master bedroom and bath on the first floor and ample bedrooms and bath on the 2nd floor. The people in the Village are extremely friendly with lots of social activities. Our sailboat is docked in the Marina so we can easily watch over it as well.
What makes this House unique
Great Views of the ICW. Each morning we have spectacular sunrises and can watch the changing marsh landscape and waterfowl in the area. We are centrally located with access to restuarants and shopping, Hunting Island State Park, Hilton Head Island golfing and outlet shopping.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Great views, JW and Ginny were wonderful, and the area from Beaufort to Charleston to Savannah is filled with places to visit, shop, and enjoy the food and ice cream. Would return in a heartbeat, and will when we move to the Charleston area. Dennis, Jo Anne, and our English Golden Retriever Andy. Fair winds and following seas folks.
A Great Stay!
My husband and I spent a week in this special place on the water in Beaufort while our teen was at camp. We found this home (and neighborhood) charming, peaceful and serene. The house is extremely clean, as other reviewers have written and was even stocked with coffee and filters for the coffee maker, plus there were spices in the cabinet, etc (except we didn’t cook!). I loved the jacuzzi tub inside the double shower area - so clever! The porch, attached to the living room that faces the water, is the jewel of this property. I could live out there! We spent as much time as possible out there, but we did want to go exploring the area, so we had to peel ourselves up to get going! We loved our stay in this storybook charming neighborhood and comfortable home with amazing views and deck and highly recommend it.
What a view!
We absolutely loved our week long vacation at Virginia and JW’s home. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything that we needed was supplied plus some. We typically rent from rental agencies that leave the bare bones of supplies. This was not the case with this rental. Virginia and JW far exceeded our expectations. They even stopped by to make sure everything was going ok. We enjoyed meeting you and having the opportunity to talk to you.
We loved the location of the home. It was close to so many locations that we never ran out of places to see. We visited Hilton Head, Savannah, Beaufort, Hunting Island State Park, Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge and Parris Island. My husband is a (former) Marine so he enjoyed being so close to the base. If you’re in the area during a graduation week, you can go on to the base to see the graduation. I highly recommend it!
The nights we stayed in, we enjoyed eating dinner on the porch and taking in the amazing view! The porch was our favorite place to relax. We saw dolphin several times during our stay from the porch. The sunrise was breathtaking. We walked around the development a couple of nights and everyone was so friendly.
Thank you Virginia and JW. We look forward to visiting the area in the future and renting your lovely property again!
We loved this house! It is a beautiful home, tastefully decorated with comfortable attractive furnishings. Everything we needed was provided including - - nice cookware, paper products, night lights, new linens & towels - - even bathroom spray! And it was so CLEAN! We loved having coffee each morning on the porch watching the sunrise over the water. The neighborhood was quiet and the people were friendly. This house felt like our own home and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We'd highly recommend & hope to return soon.

This house was everything one could hope for. The owner's pride is evident from the moment you pull into the driveway and all the little touches inside. We loved sitting out on the deck enjoying watching the boats come in and leave the marina. We were even lucky enough to see some dolphins playing out in the water. If I ever need a place to stay while in this area, I would definitely choose here!!
THE SUNRISE FROM THE HOUSE AND PORCH ARE SPECTACULAR. THE HOUSE IS ATTRACTIVE WITH COMFORTABLE FURNISHINGS AND AS CLEAN AS COULD BE. KITCHEN WELL STOCKED WITH CONDIMENTS, PLENTY OF DISHES,POTS AND PANS ETC. JINNY AND JW ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING NECESSARY. A VERY PLEASANT RENTAL, I WOULD RETURN AGAIN.MARGARET
