Lovely apartment within a beautiful setting

The apartment was lovely with 2 super modern bathrooms and 2 bedrooms at either end of the building, with a beautiful lush courtyard outside to relax in after a hot day ! The owners used the garden for their businesses so it was not totally private but this was clear on the owners details and wasn't a problem at all. When we stayed Fernanda wasn't well but still went out of her way to ensure we were settled in and happy with everything. Faro is a lovely place to stay and we explored the town itself, went on wildlife and historical trips and visited everywhere locally by bus/train which were excellent & cheap. We would highly recommend staying here compared with other accommodation we've stayed in for the same cost elsewhere. Sorry this review is so late Fernanda !

Nice apartment for 2 couples

We stayed here with my parents for several nights. Apartment was cute and ideal for 2 couples as bedrooms are on opposite sides of apartment and have their own bathrooms with showers. Big well equipped kitchen and apartment was comfortable. The lounging area inside was a bit cramped as there is only one couch. We found the apartment quite dark also with not a lot of natural light-part of being in an old town flat. Courtyard is fragrant and lush and you can sit outside to eat and visit however it's not exclusively yours to use as the owner has her business there along with her husband's office. It's not as private as we would have liked. We also had issues with the hot water but the owners did their best to deal with it. Owners are very kind and helpful. When we were away for 2 days they really took care of my parents. She also treated us to homemade octopus salad and assisted us with transportation. Location inside the old walled city was nice as you could walk to several restaurants and little bars within the walls of the old city itseIf. If we did it over again, we would not have stayed in Faro, only a day trip perhaps to see the old walled city, as its not on the ocean and you can't walk to the beach. There are plenty of tours to take to see things outside of Faro. If you are looking for sun, surf, and the beach, Faro is not the place to stay in the Algarve.

Owner's Response: I am very grateful to guests who can contribute with their comments, because everything conresponde to the truth. However damage to the electrical equipment can happen, Even in the most chic hotels or 5 star. but we are always available to our customers to find solutions as we did this last time when it happened. As, to our courtyard is the owners, and we put at the disposal of our guests, although we use it as a passage and not use it as leisure .I think it's an added value for our guests, as most of the apartments have not gardens , unless home. and this is explicit in the description of the apartment, The owner. Excellent apartment, excellent position inside the walls of Faro Old Town.

Brilliant holiday, we spent 12 days in Fernanda's excellent apartment, it has everything you would want , a home from home. It is very central for you to travel out from to visit the rest of the Algarve . There is a lovely court yard where you can have your meals or just sit & cool down. The apartment is very spacious , very well equipped, with everything you need. It's is one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in. Lastly your host, Fernanda , is so lovely and nothing is too much trouble and is on hand for any advice with suggestions of places to visit or places to eat in and she always has your best interests at heart. We really had a lovely time in a lovely apartment and with a lovely and helpful host. Thank you very much Fernanda. Regards from Rob & Sue. X

A wonderful week in Faro

The apartment is clean, spacious and well-equipped. It has a lovely courtyard garden, great for dining outdoors or relaxing with a cool drink. Good for a family or two couples, with each bedroom having en suite facilities. Situated on the ground floor, the owner Fernanda and her husband live on the floor above. Very welcoming and helpful, it is convenient that they are on hand if you need any help or advice. Located within the old walled town, it is a short walk to the ferry terminal, where you can take a boat trip across the lagoon to the local beaches and islands. Restaurants, bars and shops are equally close by. I would happily stay at this apartment again.

Brilliant location in Faro Old Town

We stayed for 10 nights in July 2013, I think we were Fernanda's first guests. Fernanda was a wonderful host, very welcoming and friendly and we would recommend a stay in Faro's old town which is lovely. Great location for getting to the nearby beaches (by boat) and good for eating out, plenty of choice. Sorry for taking so long to write a review Fernanda!!!

Super hideaway in central Faro old town

We stayed in Fernanda's apartment for 3 nights. It's a great apartment with a wonderful private garden and outdoor dining area. The apartment is very well equipped with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as a sitting room and a spacious kitchen which has everything you could need.

The apartment is very close to restaurants and bars but the garden is so nice that you can easily eat at home.

Fernanda and her husband are very helpful and welcoming. Super hosts!
