Arlington Cottage, built in 1901, sits in an historic neighborhood of mostly mid to late 19th c. homes. Close to downtown Natchez, this charming cottage (my personal getaway house) is a restful retreat, backing onto woods and a small bayou.
You enter the cottage through the right side front door into the living room. The same space on the left side is the main bedroom. The second room has been opened out into one large space. The kitchen is to the right. The dining area fills the remainder of the space. You access the bathroom, main bedroom, and second bedroom from the dining area. All the rooms have ceiling fans! The screened in back porch is through the French doors. One key opens both the front and French doors. The thermostat for AC and heating is on the wall to the left of the bathroom door. The laundry facilities are in the cabinet to your left as you walk out onto the back porch.
The entire space is yours! The driveway to the right of the cottage is yours to park your car in. The bedroom, bath and kitchen are fully appointed. Remember, it is my personal house! Feel free to use what is there. While breakfast is not included, there will always be coffee and tea!
My housekeeper, Renea, will be available if you need assistance.
While there are large Victorian homes at the upper end of Arlington, we are on the modest end of the street. It is a quiet neighborhood, with cordial neighbors. And we are a short walk to the fabulous antebellum Dunleith Plantation, where Arlington dead ends into Homochitto St.
