Great place, great location
We stayed here 3 nights for a fishing trip. Would have been longer, but the storm (Maria), closed the island. The home is nice and well equipped. The bedrooms are good sized and beds comfortable. The top deck has great view of the marina/sound.
The owner, Amy is great to work with and stayed in touch while we watched the storm to see if we would get there at all. Really enjoyed the place and the trip.
House is perfect with great location. Home away from home, will definitely be staying here again.
Thanks for staying at The Shelter. Hope you come back soon!
Fantastic property. Very clean and modern.
Had a great time walking the beach. 2 minute walk to the beach. Got to see loggerhead turtles hatching after a tropical storm.
Beautiful sunsets over Pamlico Sound.
Pack your clothes, everything else you need is there.
Amy, the owner was great and checked on us after the storm.
We would definitely like to stay there again.
We loved having you stay. So wonderful that you got to experience the baby loggerheads! Still on my bucket list. Hope you make it back soon.
House was very clean and bright. Everything we needed was there.
The Shelter is like a fine 25 year old bottle of Scotch!
Perfect Beach Cottage in Hatteras! The location is 1/4 mile from the Ocracoke Ferry and Ramp 55 beach access. The beach is a mere 3 minute walk. A convenient store is across the street as is a very nice Seafood restaurant. Great cottage for a family. We have been going to the Shelter for many years. The Owners are first-class and ensure everything is perfect before your arrival. Now back to my Scotch!
We love this review! You all are part of The Shelter Family!
The cottage was adorable. It was perfect for our family and the location couldn't be better. It is obvious that the owners have put tremendous care and attention to detail into their beach home. It has so much character! It really felt like a home away from home, not a rental. Thank you so much for allowing our family to rent your home. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to others!
Thanks for staying. Hope to have you back soon!
