2 bedroom property In a beautiful rural setting In Broad Chalke Village
About Emma Flint
We have 3 children and a friendly black labrador. We live next door to New Barn but there is plenty of space for everyone in the large garden.
Emma Flint purchased this House in 2011
Why Emma Flint chose Broad Chalke
We have lived in the area for many years but we moved to Broad Chalke in 2011 so that we could be closer to Salisbury and schools for our 3 children. The village is a very friendly community and we quickly found ourselves involved with the village tennis club, shop and village hall. One of our daughters spent Easter helping a local farmer with lambing.
What makes this House unique
New Barn and Mead House are located in a wonderful setting facing due south. We have beautiful views over the water meadows across the River Ebble to the village church. You can walk or cycle direct from the property with a choice of dozens of different tracks and paths to explore. Alternatively, take a stroll through our enchanting village to the watercress beds to buy fresh watercress and some free range eggs or local honey.

The cottage was very comfortable with all the amenities required for our stay. We found it a great base for visiting Salisbury & Stonehenge. The owner welcomed us when we arrived and gave us all the information we required to find our way around. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore the area.
A relaxing break in beautiful surroundings
If you want to take a break from busy city life, that's the place to be !
Walks, NT visits, cultural places nearby ... and a village pub with good food and bear 5 minutes away (walking) ; welcoming owners ; a lovely house and garden : what more coud we have asked for to spend the bank holiday ?
Thanks for the stay :)
Very smooth process. Very friendly
Beautiful setting, great for walks
Broad Chalke valley and village are a beautiful place to visit, and the accommodation a short walk to the village store. The store is well stocked including fresh veges and fruit. We especially enjoyed walking on both sides of the valley. Lovely views!
Emma gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed the house a lot. We were 3 adults which was enough space. The house would suit a couple best- or a family with 2 small children as there is a large garden to play in.
A beautiful valley to visit and walk.
Quiet location, welcoming local pub and close to fun stuff to do!
The property was good, more suited to a family as opposed to a small group of friends, but hosts were welcoming and polite. Sadly there’s not much of a seating area in the lounge/diner/kitchen area if you want to relax, but if you’re out and about exploring it’s not really an issue. The gardens at the house are big and well kept, lots of room for kids to run about and would be lovely in the summer months.
The Queens Head (few mins walk away) was very welcoming when we went for dinner and the food was good too.
Thank you for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Our sitting area is quite small but I think the price is very reasonable for the size of the accommodation. I hope we might see you in the summer next time when you can enjoy the garden.
Brilliant location, fantastic accommodation and Emma was delightful.
I would stay again. We were very happy with our stay.
So glad you enjoyed your stay coming all the way from Australia! Hopefully we will see you again.
Best wishes Emma
