About Jim Hayes
We are an Irish American couple retired who love to travel. We live half the year in California and the other half in Dublin. Jim is a entrepreneur and Pat is a speaker and author. We love to travel the world and enjoy providing a lovely environment for you to see the beauty of Ireland.
Why Jim Hayes chose Dublin
We love Dublin and the access to 5 darling grandchildren. Our apartment has all the comforts of the big city with out the noise and congestion. The beauty of the scenery outside our windows is what made us buy it.

Don’t pass up this property!
What a great place! Roomy and just like being at home. Owners are terrific. Train is a two minute walk away and 35-40 minute ride to central Dublin. Property is in the burbs but easy access to the train. I would definitely stay there again!!
Sinead, the property manager was there to greet us and answered all our questions regarding the property and restaurant tips. The property itself was terrific! The kitchen was adequately equipped so we had several meals in the spacious dining room. The washer/dryer came in handy. The location is away from the city center but the LUAS station to catch a train to town, is only a block away and was really convenient! The only issue was trying to find a parking spot at the property sometimes. Thank you Jim and Pat, for making our vacation that much more special!!
Spacious Penthouse with Amazing Views and Gracious Hosts!
Pat and Jim went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable in their lovely penthouse apartment. We stayed two weeks in February while waiting for our new home in Dublin to be ready for move in, and had everything we needed. The apartment is huge by European standards and the view is amazing. If you are looking for a place to stay that is away from the business of the city center but still close to it all, we recommend this property.
We were delighted with our stay here, the description of the views and the photos of the rooms did not disappoint. The living room/ dining area was spacious and very comfortable. The views from all the windows and the balcony were beautiful. It was so nice to have a kitchen so well equipped, we enjoyed breakfast each day here while planning out our activities. We had 5 in our party and each of the 3 bedrooms ( one room was a study with pullout couch) were very comfortable, all having there own bathroom. As far as ease getting into Dublin once you learn a little about the LUAS; their light rail, you are withing walking distance to the cherrywood stop. We purchased a weekly pass at the airport for 27 euros and rode this daily. It was such a nice way to get back and forth to the city. We are hoping to return to Dublin again to see everything we missed and would not hesitate to book this beautiful place again. Thank you Jim and Pat
Best place in Dublin
Views were better than advertised! Great location close to transportation. Jim's communication was timely and informative. Don't look anywhere else, this is the best place in Dublin. Thanks for a top-notch stay!
Wonderful welcoming home !
This property is in a good location - it's across the street from the LUAS Cherrywood station manking it an easy way to get to/from Dublin.
It's approx one hour in either direction - but at the end of the day it's an easy way to enjoy the city and countryside.
All amenities are available at the apartment and worked PERFECTLY for the three of us allowing each our own bedroom and bath/shower room.
The terrace was a nice place to sit with a glass of wine and relax/review the day.
We were blessed with FABULOUS weather for our entire stay.
Thanks Bunches to Sinead for meeting us in the beginning and providing the information of the area.
The LUAS is 27Euros for a weekly ticket and gets you all over Dublin
Dalkey is a small countryside village not far away and the Club Dalkey had amazing food... Finnegans was a quaint pub and did offer food too.
RUMORS - Bono and The Edge frequent the area -- but alas - not while we were there!
Recommend this property for any travelers that want both the city and 'burb' experience.
Thanks to Pat & Jim for their hospitality..
