Charming villa in the hills above Rethymno
The villa is charming, very clean, well maintained and well supplied -- everything we needed for our week's visit with another couple. Beautiful pool and outside living -- where we spent most of our waking time. Modern facilities in a well-renovated beautiful Cretan villa, nestled up on a quiet street, in a little village above. Dimitris, property manager, was great for check in and good local advice. Nearby local market, managed by Nikos Pagoulatos, had good local produce and cheeses. Good location to see the rest of Crete, including nearby Rethymno, with good tavernas, wine bar and local fish caught/sold each morning at the marina. We will return! Thank you!
Excellent stay. The villa is full of charm, private with lots of space. Great local taverna with local produce. Supermarket fully stocked. Locals all very friendly. 10min drive to rethymnon. Dimitris was very helpful with recommendations and was lovely company. Would recommend and hope to return for another stay.

Your team was excellent. Dimitris attended to the few concerns we had immediately, and Marias cleaning haflway through, along with a change of towels, was much appreciated. Would recommend to friends. Will return.

Peace in Crete
My family and I loved this house. The courtyard with the pool is perfect for coffee in the morning and apéro in the evening. The upstairs views at sunset are beautiful. It's far from the tourist crowds and convenient to great eateries and conveniences. Dmitris is a super helpful, friendly host. I would stay here again.
Archontiko Galliaki is located in the pretty traditional village of Agios Georgios, just 7km away from Rethymno.
Rethymnon is on Crete's north coast and ranks as the island's cultural centre being home to several museums, to the philosopical branch of the University of Crete, and other famous landmarks. The Fortezza, a fortress from the Venetian era, overlooks the picturesque Port of Rethymnon which is framed by the modern port's piers. The Old Venetian Town radiates out from the fortress along narrow lanes with small shops, arts and crafts workshops, restful bars, and numerous restaurants. Every Thursday, the port hosts the legendary weekly market of Rethymnon.
Crete's coastlineoffers with numerous coves, bays and peninsulas.
Maleme is a beatiful sandy beach, located 20km from Chania on the road to Kissamos.
19km far from Chania in the West, just off the Old National Road to Kissamos (Kastelli), you will find the beach of Tavronitis. The beach is an easy short stroll from the village centre. This can be one of the emptiest and quietest beaches in this stretch of coast west of Chania. Tavronitis beach is pebbly and very quiet indeed, a very relaxing place bordered by trees.
Platanias is a sandy beach very popular and crowded, especially in July and August. Being at the northern coast, it is affected by the 'meltemia' (northern summer winds). The beach is well organised, offering accommodation facilities, food and drink at the sea front tavernas and bars, facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sun beds, umbrellas, sea sports etc) are also available .
The long sandy beach on the north of the village is awarded the Blue Flag every year. It is partly organised (not crowded) and provides all kinds of facilities such as sun beds, umbrellas, showers, W.C. and sea sports. The blue of the sea joins with the blue or starry sky in calmness and passion.
Situated in front of the city of Rethymnon, it is a long sandy beach, extended at a length of approximately 12km in the West. Very well organised, it offers abundant accommodation facilities, of any kind.
The sandy beach in front of the Frangokastello castle. The sea is very shallow and it is ideal for little children.
Approximately 12km from Chania in the East, you will find the small fine sandy beach of Marathi.
The beach is very popular and frequented much by locals especially on weekends because of the shallow water, which is ideal for small children.
This is a picturesque tourist resort close to Chania Town. Well-developed with many tourist facilities, Kalyves has a long, golden beach.
This charming little fishing and coastal village offers a nice sandy beach and waterfront tavernas and cafes.
