This beautifully restored stone villa with heated pool (on request) and sweeping panoramic views is the perfect hideaway for your next holiday in the Cote D’Azur. Just 10 minutes’ walk on a quiet footpath from the heart of medieval Tourrettes sur Loup, the villa comfortably accommodates 10 people and is elegantly furnished to the highest of standards.

The villa has all there is to offer for a fabulous holiday: stunning views over the valley and up to Tourrettes, total privacy and tranquillity, large heated pool with ample sun loungers, gas and charcoal BBQs, table tennis, and a boules court.

Recently renovated to provide the perfect holiday retreat, the property has four bathrooms (2 ensuite) and five bedrooms which are particularly large - one has a walk-in wardrobe - and all open onto the garden.

The sitting room, dining area and comprehensively equipped kitchen combine to create a stunning open-plan living space. The rooms are tastefully and elegantly furnished, and flow seamlessly to the outside spaces.

The large private terraced garden has shady olive trees and many quiet spots to enjoy a glass of rosé, a long lazy lunch, or simply relax with a book and soak up the Provençal atmosphere. Summer to winter this villa offers wonderful opportunities to explore the area and switch to a different pace of life.

PLEASE NOTE: the pool is heated on request, and at extra cost. Please ask for details. Pool heating will not be available during summer 2016 due to maintenance work. Swimming pool is available as usual.

Lovely house with amazing views.

  • 4 of 5

The listing description of the house was accurate. It was spacious and in a lovely position with the most amazing views. The house and pool wasn't as clean as we expected on arrival but we did received an apology from the management team. The shower in the downstairs bathroom did not drain well and overflowed on a number of occasions, but we were supplied with extra towels to cope with this. The washing machine did not work also. Apart from this the house was very well equipped and comfortable. The pool, once it had been cleaned, and the area around it was lovely with stunning views. The charming medieval village was a fifteen minute (uphill) walk away with wonderful little shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice was a thirty minute drive away and Monte Carlo an hour by train. The management team were always quick to respond to our questions and concerns. We had a lovely holiday.

Magical Villa Rocapic

  • 5 of 5

We spent an amazing long weekend at this gorgeous villa outside Tourrettes sur Loup in June. The setting, below the ancient walled city and with views that go on forever over the valley is enchanting. Villa Rocapic itself, with a series of balconies, terraced gardens and patios is simply breathtaking - I don't think the photos online truly capture the "wow" factor! This is a charming, tastefully decorated, light and airy villa, and the layout is well suited for groups or familes. The rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, and the beautiful high end kitchen has a professional range. We were there with another couple in June, and all the kids (and grown ups, too!) loved the pool, boules court and terraced gardens. We even had a display of fireflies one evening that was something right out of a fairytale! The utterly charming town of Tourrettes sur Loup is just a 10 minute walk, waiting with diversions such as Michelin starred restaurants, artisian shops and locally made violet (yum!) ice cream. Vence is also very easy to reach, with a lovely Friday market in the old town. I admit to falling head over heels in love with the entire area, and we will definitely return to Villa Rocapic. It is magical, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Perfect for a family celebration

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the house. Our one year old granddaughter was able to explore and enjoy the pool, and one family occupied the whole bottom floor for privacy. There were lots of different eating spaces which we used depending on the placement of the sun at different times of the day. The pool was cool but comfortable, not heavily chlorinated, and very peaceful. We did several day trips, but were most content when we stayed home and walked up to Tourrettes-sur-loup for pastries and baguettes in the mornings, or ice cream after lunch. The town is charming and not overwhelmingly touristy. Pure Azur was absolutely fabulous, arranging for a baby cot and high chair, trying to find us a chef for a special dinner, available reliably for advice and scheduling a taxi to the airport. They really went the extra mile, and we were very grateful. I would highly recommend this property, although it would not be good for people with mobility problems since it is very terraced.

Beautiful Holiday

  • 5 of 5

The Villa Rocapic has such a soothing atmosphere. Its spotlessly clean and spacious, yet still charming. Conveniently located adjacent to a short hiking trail that leads into the village of Tourettes Sur Loup, It was fun to walk to town and be greeted by the village cats as we explored the shops and selected bread and pastries from the excellent bakeries.

During our stay, we purchased meats and sausage from the local Charcuterie and brought them back to barbeque at the villa. A bottle of wine from the town’s great cave and a game of boules in the backyard court was the perfect way to wind down many of the superb days we spent there.

We didn’t swim in the pool, but certainly would have if the weather had been just a bit warmer. Still, we spent lots of time outdoors and took in the lovely views from the kitchen terrace (an excellent place to spend a morning with coffee and a book.)

We dined in town (at Clovis) one afternoon too. The restaurant’s menu changes weekly to offer delectable locally sourced, seasonal cuisine. Our meal was fresh, elegant and delicious.

It was easy to visit St. Paul, Grasse, Nice and Cannes, all within reasonably short driving distance of the villa.

We’re glad we made the choice to stay at Rocapic and would recommend the place to anybody seeking a beautiful, unique and relaxing get away.

Villa Rocapic - what a treasure!

  • 5 of 5

The ambience, the amenities, and the atmosphere could not have been nicer. Truly a home both inside and out. With areas and activities to share with family and friends and private gardens and decks to enjoy some quiet time while taking in the beautiful sunrises and lovely Tourrettes-sur-Loup scenery - Villa Rocapic has something for everyone. With an ideal location, we were able to visit and enjoy the lovely town of Tourrettes-sur-Loup as well as many towns and cities within the vicinity. This was our first visit to the villa and we certainly hope to return in the future. A fabulous vacation in a fabulous setting - Villa Rocapic!

I can not wait for my next visit

  • 5 of 5

The villa is a real gem. The group immediately felt like we belonged in the house as it was very inviting and cozy and the layout was great. In addition, the outdoor space is amazing as it allowed the group to Swim, play boules, ping pong, etc and very relaxed. As the groups evening activities focused around food and local wine, the outdoor patio with table and grill was perfect. We enjoyed our evenings.

Also, the walk up to the small town from the Villa was enjoyable and allowed us to start our mornings with some really good French croissants (I can still taste them).

Highly recommend the VIlla. Thanks.

There is always a good time to visit Tourrettes.

During the peak summer season the weather hots up, but being elevated from the coast means that it’s easier to escape the intensity of summer heat. There is a plethora of events, ranging from world-famous jazz concerts (Juan Les Pins, Nice, Antibes), International firework competitions (Cannes and along the coast), and of course locally the Fete de la Musique (June 21st) when the whole village comes to life with concerts and al fresco dining.

In winter, the weather can still be very mild. The local ski resort of Geôlières is a 45 minute drive and offers family skiing with spectacular views and mountain scenery. For a bigger ski domain, Valberg, Isola 200 and Auron are great for day trips. Other events not to be missed are the world-famous Nice carnival (February), Menton Lemon Festival (February) and Tourrettes’ very own Fete des Violettes (February): a unique event with music, locally decorated floats parading through the village and the infamous ‘bataille des fleurs’.

Spring & Autumn offer temperate, pleasant weather and a welcome escape from the grey skies of Northern Europe and cooler climes. And of course being out of season, there are fewer people and air fares can be cheaper.

The surrounding area offers much to explore. 45 minutes’ drive will take you to Cannes, Antibes, Nice or Juan les Pins. A little further along the coast is Monaco, Monte Carlo and the Italian border or head west and enjoy a day out in St. Tropez. There are five golf courses within a 30 minute drive. Active outdoor pursuits nearby in the Gorge du Loup and surrounding mountains include parascending, hang gliding, canyoning and horse riding. There are some excellent and varied walks nearby for all levels of walkers or hikers, many in mountainous terrain with breath-taking views.
