This lovely apartment has 1 king size bedroom ( bed is 1.80 x 2.00 meters) and 1 bathroom, 600 sqft, and is charmingly decorated, and is set in the greenest and most central area of Amsterdam. Musea and restaurants abound in this characteristic part of the city.
Apartment is quite complete and has everything.
This is the perfect apartment for those interested in staying in the center of Amsterdam, yet being in a tranquil, village like setting. Bars and restaurants abound in the area, making this one of the most sought after parts of town. Biking is the way to move about in Amsterdam, so included in the rental is the use of 2 bikes. Stay in shape and see everything !
Please note : this is a non smoking apartment.
The apartment was nice and it was a pleasant surprise to find it lightly stocked. There were two bikes that came in very handy for my short trip. I'd recommend this apartment as long as you don't mind a fairly steep climb up the stairs.
Fem, our hostess, had stocked the kitchen with wine, eggs, butter, jam, cheese, salami, bananas, apples, and milk. What a pleasure to realize we didn't need to immediately seek out a supermarket upon our arrival. The apartment was very clean and the location was quiet, about a mile from the Central Station. The Maritime Museum, one of our favorite museums, is only a few blocks from the apartment and there is an excellent bakery right around the corner. My husband also loved the fact that he could get a Pacific Northwest styled IPA at the corner pub, something he found difficult to find in most Amsterdam bars. We will definitely seek out this apartment for any future trips to Amsterdam.
The location is amazing: central but also quiet. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is functional, and there is even space to sit and relax both inside and outside. The apartment is clean and well maintained, and the internet connection is reliable. There are restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and museums all within walking distance, and with bicycles available, it was easy to reach any location in Amsterdam. The owner and manager are very friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend this property for anyone willing to climb two flights of stairs, and I hope to stay here again on my next visit to Amsterdam.
We stayed in the top floor apartment that was just renovated.
- Good location, walking distance to many touristy attractions and few restaurants very close as well as grocery stores.
- Excellent hosts! Very welcoming and accommodating, brought us breakfast on the first day and chocolates for Easter!
- Beds are comfortable, bathroom is brand new and apartment is very light and clean
- Stairs are an issue with anyone older or with disabilities. It is typical Amsterdam's stairs that are steep.
- Kitchen would benefit from a microwave and/or an oven in case you want to warm something up.
Other then that - we had a very good time and will stay there again if we come back to town!
Great location, and the owner who lives dowstairs was a woonderful women who had provided a good head start with eating at home, she had bought eggs, cheese bread, ham, wine.... A big plus was the bikes included with the rental, we used them every day we were there. Sweet women. Perfect location.
I had a fantastic experience with this apartment. They were very accommodating with my late night arrival, including a bottle of wine, cheese and cold cuts, bread, etc. The unit was quite large and comfortable with a lot of windows; it was very close to a tram stop, so it was easy to get around the city. I really enjoyed staying there and would highly recommend it.
Amsterdam has everything ! Dont miss out on hortus botanicus, waterlooplein flea market. This is the best area of Amsterdam !
