Lovely apartment in a mostly residential area. I felt very safe walking around even at night. The apartment is very spacious with a ridiculously comfortable bed. The shower is poorly designed and the only negative aspect. It's a short walk to the metro station...10 minutes max, but know that there aren't any attractions that are very close. You'll most likely have to take public transportation to get anywhere you want to go. But after the hustle and bustle of the major attractions, you'll be glad to get back to this quiet neighborhood.
The kitchen is lovely and modern. There is a washer, but no dryer, so you'll have to get creative about hanging clothes up to dry since there is no balcony.
We would stay here again for sure!
Cute little apartment outside of the city. Great space for a family of 3. Easy to get around nice and quiet place to come home to after busy touristy day! Only thing I would change is the shower definitely needs more pressure and maybe a couple more pillows would be nice. It was also really great having a washer handy and not sure how the towel warmer rack worked but it was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Marco was quick with responses and very nice as well!
We had heard bad things about how Italians view "on time", so were worried about how we would get the keys to the apartment. However, the owner was on time. There was a light lunch prepared and waiting for us when we arrived, small sandwiches, a bottle of wine, and deserts. The mattress was very firm. There were a pair of bathrobes very nicely folded. The shower is a sectioned off area of the bathtub. This meant that every time we took a shower, water got on the floor. However, this is something that a towel made quick work of. The wifi went out during our stay, so we reported it to the owner and he reset the wifi the next morning. There is a grocery store just a few minutes away and is only a 10-minute walk from the subway. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the apartment and would definitely rent this property again.
This place offered a nice retreat in busy Rome for two adults. One bedroom apartment is located in a clean secured building in 900 meters from a metro station. It takes 30-35 min to get to a city center by subway. We have been met in Airport and transferred to the apartment for an extra fee. Keys and instructions were given to us by the owner on site. During our 5-day stay, the owner was available to answer our questions by phone almost any time. Everything inside the apartment met our expectations except two things: TV was only in dinning/kitchen area and coffee maker worked too slow. If you are driving, please note that it is difficult to find a parking spot near by the building. We are recommending this place for people who enjoy walking and like use the subway. Note that subway can be closed by 11:30pm, but taxi ride is not too expensive in Rome.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights late April 2016. First, communicating with Marco was easy. He was very responsive, which was great as it was a last minute trip for us. The neighborhood is residential, and although it wasn't right in the heart of things, it was very convenient. We took the subway and buses all over Rome, and this apartment was about 20 minutes away from the tourist areas. The area was quiet and had a few good restaurants, gelato places, and a grocery store. The building itself was beautiful, and the apartment was very clean. We met Anna at the building entrance and she showed us the apartment and told us about good restaurants in the area. She also had a nice luncheon of sandwiches, desserts, and wine waiting for us. That was such a special touch.
The unit itself is not handicap accessible as there are a few stairs you need to go down to the courtyard and up to the unit. The unit consisted of a bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed and large walk-in closet. The bathroom was very spacious. There was a living space with sofa, cable tv, and dining set that seated 6. The kitchen had a breakfast bar and full-sized fridge. We ended up not cooking in the unit, so we did not use the other appliances, but there was a stove, microwave, and dishwasher. There was also a utility closet with a washer, dryer, iron, and cleaning supplies. It was really everything we were looking for at a great price.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this apartment. The only drawback was the shower. There are two things I didn't like about the shower. First was the water pressure in shower mode was very light. In bath mode, it was great, but in shower mode it took forever to rinse out my shampoo. The second was that based on the lack of shower door, water ended up outside the shower. This was easily fixed with a towel. In short, this was a great bathtub, just not a great shower. I'd deduct a half star for that, but that's it.
Thank you, Marco and Anna, for letting us rent such a beautiful place!
Checking in was fast and easy, the apartment was clean and had little touches that were so appreciated, like robes, slippers, and a prepared lunch complete with a bottle of wine! There is a wall safe, good wifi, plenty of wardrobe space, English TV channels, and an efficient washing machine (although lacking instruction). The subway, grocery store, cafes and shops are nearby, and a Catholic church is across the street (getting to Mass was so easy!). Being slightly away from the main tourist path meant more reasonable prices for meals out.
The water is very hard though, and calcification is an on-going issue. The bathroom sink and shower were so blocked up by mineral deposits that the pressure was not enough to signal hot water. We called for repairs, and Marco was prompt to respond. It might be wise to test the water flow at check-in to avoid any inconvenience.
The big king-size bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable. The pure foam mattress and pillows gave us the best sleep and even convinced us to buy one for our own home!
Thanks for a wonderful stay in the Eternal City.
Characterized by the S. Saturnino church from which it takes its name. A few steps from here you can reach some excellent restaurants and bars, as well as cinemas, beauty salons, supermarkets and the stylish Corso Trieste.
The public transportation is also excellent with the bus line having a preferential lane and the subway line, 500 metre away from the Piazza.
