About Jennifer

My husband and I purchased the lot in 2005 with excitement beyond belief. We actively started designing around some very strick guidelines and restrictions. In the end I believe we achieved a very nice product with his building skills and my artistic talents. You'll find unusual details throughout the home and my paintings on the walls.

Jennifer purchased this house in 2006

Why Jennifer chose The Bay Area

We built our home at Stinson beach in 2005. Stinson Beach was a natural choice and had a long history for our families. My husband and I grew up going to Stinson either after school, with our families for holiday, and then later for family reunions bringing our kids. There is so much to do- walk/run the beach, swim, surf- board or body, sunbath, hike the fabulous trails, kayak the lagoon, relax, and the list goes on.

We feel very fortunate to have found this lot with the ability to build a simple but stylish home that serves many travelers.

What makes this house unique

The beauty of the beach, the sound of the waves crashing, the intimate neighborhood community, close to town for a stroll to dinner, near the town market, fabulous sunsets. You get the best of both worlds that Stinson has to offer- the beach but also the mountain!! The famed Dipsea Trail, majestic Matt Davis Trail just outside our door. Gorgeous sunsets, collecting shells, flying kites, building sand castles...............

Terrific Home Overlooking the Ocean

  • 5 of 5

My husband, adult son and I just spent 2 nights at this beautiful Stinson Beach Home. This was our second stay and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I love that it is up the hill from town a little, so there are wonderful views of the ocean (rather than being tucked behind a dune). It is just a couple minutes walk down to town and the beach. The home is well appointed with everything one would need. The kitchen is fabulous, we cooked in the whole time and BBQed on the back deck one night. The bedroom has a private deck with fabulous views. The living room also has ocean views, so peaceful. Thanks so much to our hostess Jennifer for making our stay a pleasure.

nice stay

  • 3 of 5

The house is very nice and we were mostly comfortable. I stayed with 4 other girlfriends. A few problems:

1. There ARE a lot of stairs. Even for us fit ladies, when you are carrying coolers and bags of stuff, it is a long haul up. Be prepared.

2. The pullout couch is broken. Nobody told us that. Since that was my bed, I ended up sleeping on the couch for 3 nights. I did appreciate the curtain that closed off the living room area for privacy though.

3. I sent 2 emails to the owner asking questions and they were never answered. The info sent does not actually say where to find the key to get in... only where to leave it at the end. We figured it out, but it was a little frustrating. A return email would have solved that.

4. We thought the kitchen cabinets needed a good cleaning on the inside and we found a few not-so-clean dishes.

Beautiful "Escape"

  • 5 of 5

Our second visit to this lovely home was every bit as great as the first. We returned to this beautifully clean and attractive space and found all to be just as wonderful as we remembered. It speaks to us in every way from the artwork and design to the simple spaciousness, comfort, and layout of the house with views at every angle of the gorgeous hills behind the house to the vast ocean to the front. This house is "perched" on a hill so the 5 minute walk to and from town as well as the steps up to the front door from the driveway are an added plus to our daily workout----we never used our car and easily got our 10,000 steps in every day walking to and from town and beach.

Owner, Jennifer, is terrific to work with and was very accommodating, helpful and generous when making our arrangements to stay both times. We look forward to returning again for another stay to breathe in the salt air, watch the beautiful sunsets and be near the ocean to simply "escape."

Perfect Beach Home with Stunning Views

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for a wedding recently and stayed in this beautiful home with a couple of our friends. It's a fairly quick walk to the beach, note it's not on the beach, but after seeing the views we all decided the short walk to the beach was worth it for the stunning views. We spent all of Saturday afternoon on the deck enjoying the views of both the mountains and the ocean.

The home itself is very comfortable, sleek interior, very clean, with so much natural light! Jennifer supplied plenty of information beforehand on directions, a little town history, and insight on the handful of shops and restaurants in the area, all of which were awesome. It was a relatively short stay, and we wished we could have stayed longer. Hopefully we'll be back to visit again soon!

Vista Views!

  • 5 of 5

Just came back from a lovely weekend with my daughters. We loved the vacation home! It was clean and organized with everything you could want. The views are stunning and the owners communication during our stay was warm and helpful. I would recommend this rental to friends and family, absolutely 5 stars!
