A fantastic location in the quiet beating heart of the South Bank yet is only a short stroll from the excitement of Covent Garden, the West End & the Olympic sites. South Bank attractions include the beautifully remodelled Royal Festival Hall, The National Theatre & the iconic Oxo Tower (all moments away). The penthouse restaurant at the Oxo Tower offers one of the best views of London.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre (to see or not to see it, that is the question!), the Tate Gallery of Modern Art (Miro a must!) and the staggering London Eye (dwarfing Big Ben!) are all less than a 10 minute walk from the property.

These world class attractions are knitted together by the inspiring river walkway (pedestrianized) which threads the length of the South Bank to London Bridge, the Tower of London & beyond.

All the major tourist attractions are a mere caber toss (a Scottish pastime!) from the apartment, which means that you can save on expensive travel cards during your stay.

Whilst you can genuinely walk to all the major sites on foot, public transport is right outside. A red bus picks up right outside the apartment stopping at attractions between Covent Garden & London Bridge, as do passing black taxis.

Waterloo station (main Train line & Tube line) is only 5 minutes walk away.

Paris is possible as an exciting daytrip on Eurostar in 2 hrs!

The property has been completely re-modernised in November 2017 and limited to 3 persons to maximise enjoyment of the unit. Broadwall is arranged on one level. It comprises of 1 large bedroom and 1 bathroom, ( en suite) with shower and bath. Bathroom and shower room furniture is complimented with chrome taps and shower fittings, towel rail, wall-to-wall mirrors and siena tiled floors.

There is a fold down bed in living room area.

Hallways and living/dining & bedrooms feature beautiful cherry wood flooring with sensor lighting as a feature.

The newly installed kitchen ( November 2017) has quality designer units featuring curved breakfast bar. Integrated top quality bosch appliances include washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, integrated microwave and oven & ... a wine fridge!

One of the great benefits of this property is that despite its fabulous central location it enjoys a marvellous secure & peaceful outside deck, leading onto a fantastic urban garden.

THIS MAKES THE PROPERTY ALMOST UNIQUE!

A timber decked roof garden with plants, seating and lighting proves very popular & a huge luxury in such a central location.

Security video entry phone has been fitted to the apartment. Remote controlled access to car park.

The apartment has allocated covered parking space within the ground floor car park which may be available upon request.

A Great Guest-translation

We just arrived from a week's stay in London and the truth is that we have returned delighted with the house. These are, in our opinion, the strengths of this property:

- Location, location and location: the apartment is in the heart of London, close to the London Eye. In this way we were a short distance from the main tourist resorts. At the same time, it is at the gates of a not so crowded by tourists area; so you find usual services (supermarkets, etc ...) under normal conditions.

It also is within walking distance of Waterloo station, so you can move quickly to anywhere in the city.

- A terrace charming: We have had the great good fortune that we have had a great time, so in the morning we could have breakfast on the terrace of the property or sunset we could relax with a beer. The truth is that before we did not go much with it, but it gives a lot of charm to the apartment. Also, just around the corner it is an Italian cafe serving excellent coffee and pastries.

- Relation with the owner: the relationship has been by email and has worked smoothly and cordial. The first day we made a presentation of the neighborhood, which was of great help to guide us and to know (and be known) any special shops.

Otherwise, the house corresponds as described on the website. It is fully equipped, giving the opportunity to prepare some meals and relax at the end of the day, in our case, far more than in a hotel.

This was our second experience with Homeaway and the result has been highly satisfactory.

Perfect space at an awesome location!

The flat is lovely. The rooms are comfortable and the little patio at the back was a treat. We were very close to everything! We walked everywhere and had great options for breakfast, lunch and diner super close by. Barry is a great host and gave us a little tour of the neighborhood and lots of tips. We had a wonderful stay.

Loved our stay!!!

We recently visited London with our two children (ages 7 & 10) from Oct. 10-17 and had an amazing trip. The flat was perfectly located and an easy walk to many of the city's major attractions. We flew to Gatwick and it was a super easy train ride to Blackfriars. We arrived early and Barry graciously met us at the property and explained how everything worked and then took us on a short walk to orient us to the city. He had many recommendation on places to visit, days/times to go and restaurants for the locals. He was easy to contact and very responsive during our stay. While we didn't spend a lot of time at the flat it had everything we needed. Two bedrooms and two baths worked great for our family. The outdoor patio is an extra bonus. We highly recommend this property because of the location and the owner. If we have an opportunity to return to London, we'll definitely stay here again!

Great location. Close to everything we wanted to see and do.

Clean and well maintained. Ideal for four people. Nice patio area in a quiet building. Close to restaurants and groceries. We didn't use the kitchen other than the microwave and hot water pot.

Barry gave us a good walking introduction to the area. Apartment is less than two blocks from the river.

Cozy and convenient

The apartment was cozy and very well located just off the Thames within walking distance of the Globe and Rose theaters and Tate Modern Museum. Waterloo train and metro station was only a 10 minute walk. The accommodations offered everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and the apartment nicely decorated. The private patio offered a quiet place to have a drink and talk over the day. The owner was very helpful in orienting us to the neighborhood and suggesting local points of interest, like the Burroughs Market on Sat. In addition, he was available at all times via phone, and even helped us turn on the wifi we inadvertently shut off. We definitely hope to let this place again!

The Best London Location!

Location, location, location! This apartment is the very best location if you are staying in England's capital city! We were in London for 4 nights/5 days and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to visit ... Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, London Eye, Parliament Buildings, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tate Modern Museum and as well, we were close to Waterloo station, which made our arrival from Gatwick Airport and our departure from Stanstead Airport, very convenient.

The owner, Barry, was super helpful! He met us at the apartment (we had an early arrival time!) and he explained how everything worked in the apartment and then he took us on a short walk around the neighbourhood, pointing out shopping spots and restaurants for the locals and directing us to the popular tourist attractions.

The apartment was clean and well supplied with everything we needed! We were two cousins and spouses travelling together. The layout of the apartment gave each couple complete privacy as the two bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms were on two separate floors. There was a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room as well as an outdoor sitting area which we were able to enjoy as the weather was perfect for doing just that!

We highly recommend this property and when we return to London, this will be our first choice of vacations rental!

Great location!

This was our second stay in London within 2 years. Loved this location. Close to tube and bus transportation plus very walkable area with varied selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and grocery stores within easy reach. Barry is very knowledgeable and we found the neighborhood tour he offered very helpful. The outdoor area was definitely a plus! On arrival, when the cleaning crew's rather superficial job became noticeable, Barry immediately rectified the situation personally. He followed up later that day to make sure all was well and offered additional information on special outdoor markets and other local events.
