We are Irish
Jerry and Sinead Rock purchased this house in 2004
Two Bedrooms & Two Bathrooms - most unusual
Not in the resort but yet close enough
Great island - Location is a great base for touring the island and yet not too far from the airport, after the long flight.
One bedroom down stairs with the shower room
The second bedroom is upstairs with the bathroom - handy !
Thank you very much for the use of Casa Rock, we really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't venture further than the pool most days, the pool kept our 7 year old happy. We did venture down the main resort most nights, it was very busy but we did find somewhere different to eat with 15 being the best.
Thanks again for the use of Casa Rock, it had everything we needed and the new beds were very comfy.
When we return again to Fuerteventura, staying in Casa Rock would definitely be a option we would want to check out, (if you will have us)
Sinead's house is an excellent place to stay. She has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and provided everything you could possibly need. The house is spotless, wifi works perfectly and the three terraces gives you the choice of sitting in the sun should it be for breakfast and lunch or just somewhere to relax in the sun.
The TV has all the basic English channels though we didn't watch much TV it was there if needed.
Her manager met us at the house and showed us how everything worked and gave us ideas on where to visit and places to eat all,of which were excellent,
Location was very quiet and we slept very well. Only downside is it is a little out of town but taxis were always on hand though we hired a car at the airport booked before we arrived, on line. The drive to the house is easy and only took about ten minutes and we used the car to get around during our weeks stay.
Thank you Sinead we shall definitely recommend to our friends and family and should we ever return to Fuerteventura again we will definitely book your house again.
We did miss a swim in the pool but as it isn't heated it was a little too cold in January.
Thanks again everything was so easy to book and you always responded to our questions straight away.
Fuerteventura is our favourite holiday resort as the weather is always fantastic. Hot but not humid, always a cool breeze. Caleta is a brilliant place to stay as it's central and we like visiting all parts of the island. This week we spent almost every day down at Sotavento beach as it was the world Kite Boarding and Windsurfing Championships which were amazing entertainment.
We also paid our first visit to the Oasis Park zoo and would really recommend a visit. It's a bit expensive but you could spend the whole day there and it's filled with beautiful plants and trees (as well as animals) to keep you shaded as you stroll round.
Casa Rock is very well equipped and ideal if you have children as the swimming pool is practically next door. English TV was a bonus and despite a slight blip it came back for the Commonwealth Games so no harm done.
The booking was really quick and easy and Sinead was quick to respond to any email queries. Everything went without a hitch (apart from Gatwick baggage hall on the return!!)
Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic holiday we have just had at Casa Rock.
This being our second visit we knew how well the house was set up for people staying. Everything you could possibly need and more, Gavin even tried catching tea a couple of times with the fishing equipment, thankfully the Eurospar is only a short drive away!
Pass on our thanks to Pam & Mick who were on hand to help if any problems arise (me forgetting how to set up the safe for starters! Mick was up sorting it out in no time).
probably our best holiday to date, we look forward to when we can return.
Have a fantastic holiday yourselves, will be in touch again.
Teresa, Gavin & Lewis.
My wife & I have just returned from a 2 week stay at Casa Rock which is in a very quiet location.
We found the apartment to be very clean and comfortable and everything was as described by the owners. They seem to have thought of everything that their guests might need including hot water bottles for the bed, which fortunately we didn't need even though it was December.
The booking process was very simple, the owners were very friendly and answered any questions we had very promptly. The English couple who looked after the apartment for the owners, who live nearby, were helpful and close to hand.
We thought the apartment was very good value for money, the only downside being that we had to return home!
All settled at home now, after our fantastic Easter holiday in Fuerteventura. Thankyou to Sinead and Jerry for renting us your lovely holiday home. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, and the house was perfect in every way.
We highly recommend others book with Sinead and Jerry, and we will be doing so again in the future.
We had a lovely stay at your property which was very clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. A hire car was useful although the walk back up the hill was good for us. The only thing we would have appreciated was some local information on the best way to walk down to the town, nearby restaurants and working the washing machine. The weather was brilliant but for golfers be advised the rates are steep ( 71 euros plus club rental etc ) and tee times not easy to get.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet holiday in the sun
Caleta de Fuste is a quiet relaxing resort. There are some lovely beaches (safe and very suitable for families with children), plus a good selection of shops. Night life is low key but you will find every kind of restaurant and bar. Caleta de Fuste can boast two golf course (one of which hosting the 2004 Spanish Open,) which is only five minutes from the house. The house is 10 km. from the airport. There is a secluded harbour from where you can go on a trip in a catamaran. There is also a medical centre and chemist close by. The local market takes place every Saturday morning and is a great place to spot a bargain! Calete de Fuste is also a great base to discover the island. There are some fantastic beaches at El Cotillo, Costa Calma & Moro Jable which are well worth the drive. Also worth a visit is the local Spa called 'Balnearia', it is located behind the Barcelo Hotel, in the resort of Caleta de Fuste. The Sheraton Hotel also have an excellent SPA.
Golf: There are now two fantastic golf courses at Calete de Fuste. The Spanish Open for 2004 was held at the Fuerteventura Golf course. The other golf course is called Las Salinas Golf course. The two golf courses in Caleta offer different rates and packages depending on the season. Well worth asking what are the different rates available at the time if you are booking (recommended) a round of golf. There are also driving ranges available at both golf clubs.
The 5* Hotel - ELBA PALACE is out of this world, and is a truly relaxing place to have a drink or something to eat for both golfer and non-golfers. There are fantastic views of the sea, mountains the resort all around the golf complex. Overall a very tranquil place to visit, we love it.
