Gorgeous property located within picturesque New Hampshire
Can't say enough about the property. Beautiful modern wood home surrounded by mountains and bordered by brooks. We had an incredible time there, and our dog had never been happier. The owner, David, was extremely accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone else, and will definitely be a returning renter.
Wonderful cabin in a serene valley.
Our family had a wonderful time at this amazing cabin located in a serene valley. There are fantastic views of the surrounding mountains right from the porch. A clear creek runs about twenty meters from the back of the cabin and leads to a scenic waterfall an easy ten minute walk down a quiet dirt road. If you like to hike, we would recommend the nearby Welch-Dickey loop. The views are spectacular.
The cabin has a great layout. There was plenty of room for our family of five. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the outdoor grill worked well. The showers had strong water pressure. While we didn't watch much TV, we were able to tune in to Bruins playoff games. Our three teens loved the place, as did our black lab mix dog.
David, the owner of the cabin, was great to work with and made great recommendations about things to do in the area.
We would recommend this cabin to our family and friends, and we hope to return as soon as we can.
Just what we were looking for...
We were looking for a quiet spot to get away for a couple days; quick access to the Franconia area would be a bonus. David's cabin had everything we were looking for. It's a beautiful cabin in a very quiet valley. It's a short walk to a brook with a waterfall. David was very communicative, ensuring guests had all the info needed for the stay. Thanks David!
peaceful and very clean
While the weather did not fully cooperate for our getaway, the cabin was a great place to relax and get away. Road was definitely a little bumpy and slick as an early thaw hit the area along with a little ol nor’easter. Would recommend a little suv or truck to navigate the road to the house.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, despite the less than ideal weather. Unfortunately, your visit coincided with a perfect combination of a record shattering warm spell (it hit 66 degrees in late February!), followed by a brutal nor-easter, which dumped a ton of snow. That combination made the road soft and bumpy in spots for a few days, and under those conditions an SUV would be advised, as it would for any area given that combination of snow and warm spell. Normally, rear wheel drive or normal front wheel drive cars have no problem navigating the town owned and maintained road.
Our family had a great time at the cabin! It's extremely private, with beautiful views. Everything you could need is provided in the cabin and there was plenty of space. The walk to the waterfall is a must!
Movie video collection, games, literature. Hiking, cross-country or downhill skiing, 10 minutes to Owl's Nest golf and Jack-o'-lantern golf, or just relax in the hammock with a good book and listen to the babbling brook.
