Sweet, Sweet, Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Cozy, Charming, Comfy, Restful and Peaceful are just a few words that describe this lovely home. Clean and well maintained. It is located within walking distance to all of Edgartown. Rob and MJ were the perfect hosts, always filled with great advice on area attractions, restaurants and fishing. A perfect get away for a week. A 5 star plus vacation rental.

The owners of this cottage could not be any nicer to work with. The location is ideal to get into town and beaches and the cottage is so charming with antique decor. It's comfortable and clean and we would absolutely return.

Adorable, clean, comfy and convenient!!

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting this property with our two daughters each summer for close to 10 years. It is the quintessential cottage - tastefully and whimsically decorated, with comfy accommodations and a well-equipped kitchen and large Weber grill. Your hosts, MJ and Rob, are wonderful hosts and close-by should you need anything during your stay. Plenty of deck space for outdoor eating/entertaining, sunbathing or relaxing with a book. Our favorite room is on the side of the house and is surrounded by windows that can be left open to catch the plentiful breezes. Inside, one wall is bookshelves from ceiling to floor and lined with a wide array of titles and unique and interesting antiques, as is the rest of the house - and the daybeds are great for a nap or just daydreaming. Love the outdoor shower - we don't shower inside the whole 2 weeks we are there! Edgartown is a wonderful place to explore - gorgeous homes and gardens, and you are a 5-10 minute walk from great restaurants and other activities. Can't say enough wonderful things about this gem!! We feel a world away when we are on the island and can't wait for July!

Sweet cottage and a great Edgartown location

  • 5 of 5

2017 will be our eighth year staying in this cottage. We fell in love with how adorable and perfectly Vineyard it is and now feel like we have a familiar place to come back to every year. The cottage itself is antique, and has a lot of charming details throughout. Beds are comfy and there is A/C in the bedroom upstairs. We love the outdoor shower and big deck out back -- with a great Weber grill and comfortable deck furniture. There is also a little side deck that is great for reading a book in the afternoon. One of our favorite spots is the side sunroom with the windows running the full length -- its great for a little nap after the beach or to read on a rainy day. The kitchen has many old-fashioned features like a great big cast iron sink and awesome antique stove, and it is stocked with everything we need to make a meal. Plenty of bowls and cookware and a great set of knives. We also LOVE the location. We can walk to just about everything in town in 5-10 minutes and now that our kids are teenagers, they can walk into town to the candy store in afternoon and we feel like they are perfectly safe. The house is also on the bike path so we can bike to South beach, Katama General Store or the Farm Institute. In the other direction it's a quick bike ride to Morning Glory Farm, past some really beautiful Vineyard Landscape. MJ and Rob are great hosts and are always responsive to any questions or needs we have while we are there. We hope to keep returning every year!

Wonderful Cottage & Location

  • 5 of 5

My family loved this cottage, it was beautifully decorated with a comfortable homey feel. Very clean and well stocked. The back yard was great for my 5 year old twins to run around in and chase bunnies, while we cooked dinner on the deck. It was walking distance to town and a short drive to the beaches.

MJ was a great. We'll rent here again.

Perfect summer cottage!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with our black lab, stayed here for two weeks in August. Very happy with this adorable well-stocked cottage filled with nice appointments and shabby chic done whimsically and well. Fun kitchen with Hoosier and contains all you'll need. Fabulous outdoor shower, two lovely decks. A sunny, happy place to vacation. Friendly owners nearby, should you need anything, too.
