We had a great tome. Great location
Favorite Property in Boone
We stayed two nights in December 2019 with 4 adults and 2 kids. We were taking our twin 5 year old boys to Tweetsie Christmas. We've rented several cabins in the Boone area and this is by far my favorite. The house is clean and new. It has a huge yard for kids to run around in. The creek is awesome. Great rushing water sound and the boys loved playing on the rocks. Owner was great about responding to my email to help find firewood delivery when I realized we didn't bring enough. We spent all day out by the fire pit. Great floor plan and we really liked that there are no stairs or lofts to climb inside the cabin.
Only issue you need to be aware of before renting this cabin is it is a little bit remote. That is not a negative for me at all. I love the Deep Gap setting and enjoyed going on a run down the gravel road that follows the creek. However, it is a good 30 minutes into Boone and the road out of Deep Gap to get back to HWY 421 is a curvy mountain road. Just be aware that trips to the store and back will take you some time. There is a Food Lion that is probably 20 minutes away and we found that coming from Raleigh you should access the cabin via Wilkesboro.
Love this property and location and we are hoping to rent this property again during warmer weather.
Thanks for your business. I hope you will come again
Angler’s Retreat was just what we needed for our Thanksgiving break! The property is beautiful. We enjoyed fishing, walking trails, and time by the fire. The hot tub was in excellent condition and we enjoyed it daily. The cabin is immaculate.
We really enjoyed the cabin. It provided enough space for our family and we loved having the firepit and stream behind the cabin. It was convenient to many of the places we wanted to visit, just DO NOT take Jake Mountain Road if the GPS tells you to. The only bad thing about the property were the bed mattresses. They were not comfortable. With that being the only bad thing about the trip, I would recommend this cabin.
Nice quiet get a way
The cabin is perfection. The most adorable little place with the most perfect setup. Terrific having the river access in the backyard and the firepit. The hot tub is delightful and the cleanliness was superb. I will say that the cabin is not close to much of anything so either be prepared for a long drive for finding shops or restaurants or bring lots of groceries in when you arrive. These things were not new discoveries upon arrival as I had read about the location previous to booking. My family was perfectly ok being "away from it all" as we were entertained with the large yard, the river, the hot tub and the firepit.
It is always so nice to hear our Guests enjoy our cabin. It is so beautiful and serene we are thrilled to share it. We appreciate your business.
