Buttermere is available to let all year round for both full weeks and short breaks. The property sleeps 2 in a bedroom with a king-size bed. There is a sitting/dining room, modern fitted kitchen and slate tiled bathroom.
An allocated parking space is provided at the front of the property.
Ambleside is a great place from which to explore the Lake District. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés to eat out in if cooking is not your thing when on holiday. If you need to buy some more walking equipment you will not be disappointed by the selection of shops in Ambleside.

The prices for lets of LESS THAN A WEEK will ONLY BE CORRECT when a 3 night weekend let or a 4 night week day let are selected. Went by previous reviews when choosing the apartment. It was very clean, warm and cosy, and so thoughtfully equipped. Avril and Peter made us feel very welcome. Will stay again and for longer next time! Highly recommend
Stayed four nights...absolutely delighted with the quality, cleanliness and facilities in the apartment. Enjoyed some local walking and dining and generally a thoroughly relaxing time.
Our stay in Buttermere was fantastic. Peter and Avril's apartment was outstanding. The furniture was new, modern and comfortable. Overall the apartment was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Peter and Avril went the extra mile to ensure our comfort over Christmas. We arrived to find that Buttermere had been decorated with a Christmas tree and baubles. A bottle of prosecco and two glasses was on the table plus some delicious biscuits and Christmas crackers. Although we were out walking a lot it was very pleasant to return to a beautifully warm apartment. In total we wanted for nothing. There are some wonderful walks from the apartment up onto the fells. The coffin path to Rydal and Grasmere. The walk up to the caves etc. not forgetting the local walk up to the waterfalls. The local pub, the Golden Rule, had some first class ales in a super environment with open fires. Sadly the pub did not do any catering. However, there are numerous eating establishments both in and around Ambleside. We cannot speak highly enough of our experience over Christmas.
Within walking distance of Ambleside and some lovely hills on your doorstep. The apartment has everything you need for a week stay, it's clean and well looked after. Basic provisions provided along with a welcome gift which was very appreciated. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
The owners had left some welcoming treats for us, including fresh milk in the fridge, tea,coffee and biscuits, very welcome after a long drive.

The apartment was very clean, well equipped, cosy & warm. Dedicated parking space was a bonus in Ambleside. Location was convenient as it was only a few minutes walk into the centre of Ambleside. Owners live locally & were friendly & helpful. We shall definitely try to return here in the future.
Ambleside is in the heart of the Lake District. This is an ideal location from which to explore 'The Lakes', either by car, bicycle or foot. Rydal Water and Grassmere are only a short drive away if you fancy a gentle stroll (you can walk to Rydal Water from the property).If you are looking for something more strenuous there is the Fairfield Horseshoe.
