Superbly equipped, super location and lovely welcoming hosts

Absolutely spot on, already the first contact with the hosts felt really welcoming with clear easy instructions on finding the apartment and getting the key. It was a nice touch to receive a text message informing us that the apartment was ready for moving in before the officially allocated time. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, biscuits and a lovely card wishing us a great time. The apartment was really well equipped and it felt like the host really care about their guest with a lot of attention to detail. It felt clean and fresh and everything was of a really high standard - furniture, décor, mattress and bedding, kitchen equipment. A great location with only a few minutes walk into the town centre of Ambleside. Thank you Peter and Avril, we will certainly be back and recommend this apartment to friends and family :-).

Fabulous little apartment in a great location

This is our second stay at this property and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. The owners, Peter and Avril are very welcoming and communicating with them is very easy. The property is furnished to a very high standard and is extremely well equipped. The bed is really comfy and there is a huge bathroom with a full size bath which is great for soaking in after a long walk on the fells. The property is in a quiet location on the edge of the town and benefits from having an allocated parking space, which is a huge bonus in Ambleside. I really can't think of any way it could be improved.

Lake District Holiday

Buttermere Apartment was a delight. Tucked away from the noisy streets of Ambleside it has every facility that you could wish for to live comfortably. Peter and Avril met us on arrival and they had the place sparkling. The apartment has it's own car space and we walked through the town easily without the stop-start of driving. Access to the wider Lake District is easy from Kirkstone Foot and we wandered far and wide. A great place to stay.

Perfect place in Ambleside!

We cannot say enough good things about Buttermere! From the warm welcome given to us by Avril and Peter to this beautiful, well equipped apartment surrounded by such beauty....it was a perfect few days. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Perfect location with shops, restaurants and walking trails just a few minutes' walk away. Thank you for sharing this gem with us!
