Great hiking/skiing holidays in a fantastic setting, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

Apartment Jungfrau, on the second floor of a modern chalet has a full glass front allowing great views of the mighty Eiger, the Schreckhorn as well as the Grindelwald glacier gorge. The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one has a bath tub which doubles as a shower, the other a newly built shower and a very modern toilet.

The open plan living - dining room / kitchen is comfortable and modern. The kitchen is new. The big balcony has a table and chairs, so you can eat outside and optimally enjoy the views. Wireless internet and satellite TV/DVD are included. Covered parking is free. There are coin operated laundry facilities downstairs and the apartment has underfloor heating.

The chalet is ideally located at 500m from the train station in a very quiet cul-de-sac. It is a short walk up to the town centre and a short walk down to the Grindelwald Grund train station. There is a bus stop very near by also.

This apartment is an ideal starting point for summer hikes or winter skiing and it provides a warm home to come back to after a day of alpine adventures.

Outstanding

This was our second stay in the Jungfrau apartment. The property is modern, clean throughout with excellent kitchen facilities. The views from the balcony towards the Eiger are outstanding. Diarmuid is always pleasant and helpful. We are looking forward to returning in summer 2017.

Peaceful, stylish apartment - ideal base

We stayed at Apartment Jungfrau for a week, using it as the base for exploring the area. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed & stylish. In a good location just 10 mins walk to the main street, on a quiet side road. The balcony has amazing views to the north face. The owner Diarmuid was friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Immaculate, spacious apartment with spectacular vi

A clean, light apartment with all the facilities needed to make a great holiday. The living area is open plan with floor to ceiling windows which give spectacular views of the Eiger and gives the apartment a very spacious feel.There is also a large balcony running the length of the living area. The apartment is located in a quiet area but is only a few minutes walk from Grindelwald's main street where there are numerous shops, bars, restaurants and a very good supermarket. The indoor swimming pool and high ropes course are also located near by as is the train station with good links to other areas. There is plenty to do in both Grindelwald and other local areas. Diarmuid, the manager, was very welcoming and helpful and gave us plenty of information about the area and things to do. We would certainly recommend Apartment Jungfrau.

Grindelwald at its best.

An amazing apartment, a few minutes walk away from central Grindelwald, yet quiet and with great views. Clean, perfectly maintained, well equipped and with nice touches, such as books and games for children, and even spare sunglasses for the Jungfrau. We left thinking that we would long back to this level of perfect presentation and service. We would certainly recommend it and we will stay there again on our next trip. We enjoyed all that Grindelwald had to offer, and we will be back.

Wonderful property in a perfect location

The location was in a quiet road a short walk from the bustle of the main street. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Super balcony with great views. And the rain even held off for most of our trip! Would definitely recommend.

Great views, fantastic apartment!

We really enjoyed staying in The Jungfrau apartment with our two small children. It is spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for us - close to the centre, shops and some cable cars. The coffee machine in the apartment was a bonus! We would really recommend this apartment to anyone wanted to have relaxing time in Grindelwald.

Grindelwald is set in the alpine heartland of Switzerland known as the Bernese Oberland. Dominated by the world famous Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains it boasts the country's highest density of dramatic scenery. The village is the stating point for hundreds of walking trails, mountain biking trails, paragliding, rafting and much more in the summer months and for its skiing and snowboarding during the winter months when it becomes a lively winter ski resort. Set beneath the towering peak of the Eiger you couldn't be in a more beautiful setting. Its nicknamed 'glacier village' for its proximity to two large seas of ice which are well worth a hike to during the summer months. The main street is packed with little restaurants, cafes and bars , all with terraces for you to take in the views. There is train station in town making it easily accessible from any part of Switzerland.
