Cute as a bug cottage on Anna Maria's lovely north end. A block from City Pier and Tampa Bay and only four blocks to the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Anna Maria is noted for its relaxed way of life - the trolley runs the length of the island and many lovely restaurants, ice cream shops, fishing piers, and miles of beaches are within walking/biking distance. The cottage offers a well-equipped kitchen, cottage-like furnishings, beadboard walls, a queen sized bed in the master and a queen sleeper sofa nestled into a garden atmosphere with private patio and fountain. Bikes, kayaks, beach gear, coolers, beach towels, fishing equipment, ping pong table, and grill are provided.
We stayed in Florida last summer for 5 weeks. The cottage is SOOO lovely! A breath of fresh air! Adele & her family are wonderful! She helped us out everytime we needed anything! The cottage was clean & very nicely decorated! BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank You for a wonderful summer vacation. We plan to visit again soon!
I surprised my husband for our 18th anniversary with a trip to Florida. I chose this cottage because it seemed cozy and quaint. Little did I know that it would greatly exceed my expectations. We loved the decor, location, size, patio, and all the little details that were thought of right down to the colored marbles scattered throughout the crushed shell "gravel" outside. Adele is very friendly & accommodating and made it easy to want to come back. This little gem is just 2 doors down from a general store with a deli and steps away from boutique shopping. We loved the availability of the bikes (which we made extensive use of!) and kayaks (which we'll have to get to next time!). We enjoyed long walks on the beach and spending quality time together while feeling at home. We were impressed with the availability of FREE public transportation around the island, but didn't take advantage. The cottage is smack in the middle of the historic district of Anna Maria Island with the oldest church on the island directly across the street. Overall, we couldn't be more happy with our stay. Twin Palms is the perfect getaway that is close to everything you'll ever need for an island vacation.
P.S. be sure to check out the free museum just a couple blocks away to learn the fascinating history of Anna Maria Island.
We spent 5 nights at Twin Palms and wished we had booked for longer. Never booking a private property in the US before we were a little anxious but from first contact with Adele we were put at ease and the pictures of this charming cottage on the VRBO site are a true reflection of what to expect for a completely relaxing holiday. The cottage is well appointed and much more spacious than we thought it would be with plenty of room both indoors and out.
Adele, Crit and Greta are so welcoming and easy going, the cottage is well equipped with many extras such as beach chairs, bikes, kayaks all available for guests to use. The location is a 1 minute walk to the main Anna Maria Pier at North Island and also where the free trolley bus picks up and you can ride to the southern tip of this island approximately 1/2 hour each way and discover Holmes Beach, Manatee beach and other places of interest.
On our return the first evening to one of the many restaurants within walking distance the private patio to the cottage is lit up with coloured fairy lights and a garden water feature bubbling away makes for an ideal place to sit and read, have a drink and just chill.
We are so pleased we stayed here and would highly recommend the cottage, the location and thank you Adele for making the whole booking process easy. We will see you again.
We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful cottage on the North end of Anna Maria Island. It was perfect!!! The location is ideal, about 1/2 block from The City Pier. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything that you could possibly need. There is an outside patio to relax and grill to use. They also have bikes and kayaks that you can use. I think this is the best location on the island!!!! Very close to the beautiful Bean Point. Walk to the General store, Hometown Desserts, 2 scoops, Vinny & Cheryl's, Poppos, and all of the local shops on Pine. The owners are so warm and welcoming. We can't wait to come back.
This was our 4th time at the cottage and it always meets all our needs. It is so close to the pier and the beach. The patio is an oasis to enjoy evening cocktails! It is so well equipped with everything anyone would need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. We LOVE it and will definitely be back. Adele, Crit and Greta could not be more accommodating - wonderful people.
The cottage is comfortable and equipped w everything you need. Close to eateries, beach, shops and museum. Highly recommend this location if you're aiming to soak up the sun and just kick back! Thanks to Adele & Crit.
The cottage was all we could ask for: comfortable, cosy, nicely decorated and a good patio with garden furniture. Near to the beach and to the pier where we were fishing. Adele and Crit was very nice and helpful.
