We hope you will enjoy life as it should be in this luxury oceanfront condo featuring quality appliances and furnishings. Pocket doors slide open to your large oversized porch, drawing your eye to the panoramic view encompassing Klein Bonaire and the open turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Trade winds will keep you comfortable as you relax, dine and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
Our third floor residence, is just a 10 minute walk along the seaside promenade to central Kralendiijk, where you'll find wonderful restaurants, cafes, open air fruit/vegetable market, and groceries. Just a few minutes walk to the North, you will find our favorite dive shop, Yellow Sub, where we leave our gear, rent tanks, and often dive to see resident sea life.
After visiting Bonaire, we chose Playa Lechi Residence because of its quiet location (away from the airport), our close, walkable distance to town, the reef out front for diving, snorkeling, and swimming, a large Magna mineral pool, and most importantly, its breath taking ocean sunset views.

I wish I could stay there forever
It was our third stay at Playa Lechi, and we are already planning the next year trip. This condo is the best lodging you can get on Bonaire. Walking distance to restaurants, but on the quiet side of the town. Views are breathtaking, I don't think photos do the justice. You can dive and swim just in front of the building. The apartment is very modern and greatly equipped, including washer and dishwasher. Conveniently located dive shop allows for washing and storing your equipment without dragging it every day back to the condo. Have I mentioned that you also get 20% discount on all classes and dives?
Last but not least, wifi is fast and allowed me to work couple days remotely, making phone calls, with no problems.
The owners are great and respond to any questions very quickly. The place feels really like home
Just great - for diving, cooking and relaxing!
We spent 2 1/2 weeks here in April. This was our third visit to Bonaire, each time staying a 2-3 weeks. This is the best place we've stayed. The location is great, with Dive Friends Yellow Submarine a few steps away, good diving right out front, downtown/shops within easy walking distance and the Van Den Tweel grocery less than 10 minutes away by car. The condo is immaculate and well-provisioned. It is clear that Gigi and Tom spend time here: It shows in the many comfortable touches and quality of furnishings in the house. The appliances are good, the pans are cook-worthy (a mixture of Cuisinart lines) and almost any cooking utensil you could want is close at hand. The condo is very spacious, especially the lanai. Although it was just the two of us, I can envision two couples staying here quite comfortably. Wifi was good. We felt very safe here. The only issue was noise: barking dogs, which you just can't avoid when staying in town, and a fussy 2 year old happened to be staying next door, which is just luck of the draw. For sleeping, most noise could be blocked by closing the windows and running the air conditioner and fan. I'd say we've found our go-to place for future visits! You won't be disappointed by Gigi and Tom's lovely home.

The apartment was great but the noise from the cars, dogs and fireworks every night made it impossible to sleep.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
We stayed at Playa Lechi 12 for the first week of October. The condo was wonderful with all the comforts of home and well appointed. The keys were provided to us at the airport by Sunbelt Realty and their service was seamless. The location is very close to town and we were able to explore the whole island a number of times with a rental car. We especially enjoyed the large patio to enjoy the warm evenings. Thank you to Gigi and Tom for offering such a great location!
Nice location! But a few parts could use some TLC
It bothered us that the dive tank was being used to wash out paint cans the maintenance crew was using. I wouldn't rinse my dive or snorkel equipment or wetsuits in there; there were paint chips in the basin and paint brushes and empty paint cans on the side. Not a place to rinse your regulator!
There was unnecessary construction debris left around that was unpleasant to look at, day in and day out.
The whole lock-in lock out key situation was tedious. It was a chore to just snorkel out front. Sunbelt originally gave us just 1 set of keys which made coordination difficult.
We had to ask and then drive over to get a second set of keys.
The master bath grout needs a real good scrubbing. It looks dirty and could get moldy real quick.
The kitchen was nicely stocked but there weren't enough garbage bags.
We also had to disinfect the actual garbage can as it really stunk! At first we thought the smell was coming from our trash but it wasn't. Putting a plastic bag over a smelly garbage can....well we figured it out.
Overall, the place was clean, the beds were comfortable, the views fantastic. Furniture very comfortable, wifi great, nice TV. Great library of books especially on reef life and diving. Overall, the unit was clean and pleasant.
Water was gorgeous and location central.
Road noise was mostly tolerable but I was surprised by how loud it could be at times.

We are glad, overall, you had a nice stay in our Condo.
Since there is a full service Dive Shop (Yellow Sub) nearby, we always encourage our guests to use their facility as we do. Generally, there is a dedicated black rinse tub within the large rinse tank on our property. The large rinse tank is also occasionally shared with our property maintenance crews…especially off season when work is being done. We will ask them to leave the our rinse tank in a tidy manner.
One set of keys for four guest is not our procedure. We will tell our property manager to make sure that in the future, each couple will have their own key set. We wish the salty environment would allow keyless locks, but it won’t.
Our 10 year old condo like any home, is in constant need for cleaning. We will ask our house keeper to continue to focus on keeping the corners tidy.
Tom and I chose the location of our home with its close walking proximity to the village center, the reef and Dive Shops. There will occasionally be noise…be it from the road or neighbors.
