First we want to mention that the owner of the Villa, Melecia (Bella) was very accommodating to us. She did not exaggerate when she told us that we were going to have a wonderful time. She made sure that our group was taken care of. The villa is excellent and has all the accommodations we needed for this vacation. We loved the place! Also, I want to mention also that Ovandi and Celia (housekeeper), made sure we were taken care of. They entertained us, cooked, cleaned and we felt we left not only with the great experience of our vacation, but that we had made wonderful friends for life. We definitively recommend this spot for your next vacation!!
We had a wonderful experience at Villa Bella. To start I'd like to say Melecia (Bella) was very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The number of people staying at the villas changed throughout our stay and she was flexible with the rentals. We stayed a full week, but were able to rent the second, identical villa for three days to accommodate family that spent the weekend with us. Both villas have 3 bedrooms, but one side has an extra bed for two, and two couches which I believe are sofa beds upstairs.
We safely paid for our rentals through bank wire transfer and Melecia confirmed our reservation. The villas are beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained. There is wifi, a smart TV with USB and HDMI hookups, and a water cooler with bottled water. There is a quad available for renting and the beach is amazing. Very peaceful and private. There is also a boat on the property available for renting.
Celia, Nina, and Ovandi are incredible, they go above and beyond, and it's like there is nothing can't do. They are so thoughtful and attentive to details, it was like they were family! The villas are also very secure and we felt safe. The entrance to the area is gated with a guard and there are electronic and pull down gates that seal up the villas for added security.
The villas are about a 15 minute car ride from the town of Las Terrenas where all of the restaurants and shops are, so it's a bit remote, but perfect if you just want a quiet and relaxing retreat. Ovandi took us to the Pueblo de los Pescadores where we ate at Tres Lunas one day and La Terrasse the next, both very good. You should bring your groceries (food for dinner/breakfast/lunch, paper towels, coffee, sugar, drinks, and snacks) with you on your first day so you don't have to run back out after arriving. Overall a wonderful vacation, a highly recommended villa, and we hope to return soon!
We love this house so much that we came back a second time, and with a different group.
Once again, enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and the long walks on the beach. The staff put their best effort to make us feel at home. Loved the fresh lobsters brought to us by Ranfle, right out front on the beach. What a treat!
It was a pleasure talking to the owner, Melecia, always concerned about our comfort.
The setting of this house is breathtaking. Our days and nights (7) were spent on the terrace, taking in the view, the fresh air, and above all, thinking of our friends freezing, way up North. Sorry, friends!!
If you ask our two grandkids what they enjoyed the most, they will say: "The pool", of course, which is right there in front of you. The reason why this house is so perfect for young families.
Thank yous to Melecia, Celia for the great meals, Ovandi for the fresh coconuts and the fire pit (fogata). Also to Mariel for her kitchen assistance, and to Melvin.
In this beautiful place, we had the best family holiday in a very long time. the property is well maintained and beautiful like in the pics. with the help of Ovandi who took us around to all the places the we wanted to visit and he was extremely friendly! Celia the cooking lady was very helpful and friendly as well. can't forget about Melecia who help us out to make this getaway a unforgettable one. when you visit this property ask ovandi to prepare a bonfire by the shore! would be a precious moment to sit with the beautiful fire by the beach and looking up to the clear sky that this beautiful town offers.
We stayed for 8 nights with four families with kids of all ages, from 18 to 6 years old. The houses (2 villas, mirror images of each other) is perfect for multiple families and we really enjoyed the house, the stunning, pristine beach right at our doorstep and had a great time overall. The place is located in a part of the Samana close enough to head into town but felt a world away with a very private beach on a cove. Celia and Ovandi were very helpful and took great care of the house and the surroundings and made our stay completely stress free.
We drove from Punta Cana and had the car to make grocery runs into Las Terrenas and Celia did an great job of cooking everything we brought home. Thanks to Ranfie for going fishing and bringing fresh crabs one day, it made the group’s day! The place is very close to El Limon waterfalls and we had a great trip, organized by Ranfie, to the falls. We rented the dune buggy a couple of times and the kids had a blast driving up and down along the beach on it. The most favorite time for us was in the mornings when we would see the ocean first thing in the morning and go for walks along the beach for miles, with no sound except for the waves lapping gently and birds chirping.
Remember to take mosquito repellent, for the rains that result in all those amazing rainbows over the ocean every day, also result in insects and mosquitos and best be prepared for that, especially in the evenings.
Melecia was super responsive, though continents away and helped answer all our questions. We would definitely stay again.
Thanks house for all the beautiful memories!
We just spent 6 nights in this home (a duplex independently owned with a common pool). We were a party of 8 and were comfortably accommodated.
It's a beautiful oceanfront beach home. Gorgeous setting. We loved everything about this place. Comfortable beds, furniture, and very well equipped kitchen. The staff was friendly and always ready to service you in any way possible. We hired the cook, Celia, she is amazing! Anyone staying here needs a car to grocery shop in nearby Las Terrenas town (about 15/20 minutes ride), although, the staff is available to pick up any needed items by a short motorcycle ride at nearby kiosks). They will also pick up the daily fresh fish for you if you so desire. We did a couple of times while here! Outstanding!!
The pool is well maintained. The pool keeper speaks some English (the rest of the staff do not). He could be your interpreter at any given time, although we didn't need him.
This is a place to relax and enjoy its surroundings. Peaceful and romantic, not for the crowd seeker. At night We particularly loved to just sit on the terrace (loggia) with lights down and, at candlelight, enjoy cocktails and d'oeuvres. Just make sure to bring plenty of bug spray, and that some of those candles are the citronella kind, afterall its the tropics!! Almost perfect, but not quite, Mother Nature also plays its part.
Loved it so much that we are already planning the next stay!!
