Over 4,000 square feet, this Victorian home was built by a prominent local jeweler in 1896. The home has two full bathrooms on the second floor, and 2 half baths on the first floor. One of the half-baths on the first floor is wheelchair accessible. The house also features a wheelchair ramp in the back. The four bedrooms upstairs each feature queen size beds. One room also has a twin bed. Additional sleeping is available on numerous couches downstairs and a queen size air mattress upon request. We have a cheap charcoal grill in the backyard. The market next-door so charcoal and starter fluid if you want to cook out. The grill is nothing fancy and is a little wobbly, but it gets the job done. Important!!! Please note that we are in the process of making changes to the furniture and decorations. If the specific decorations and furniture are important to you, please contact us for the latest photographs.
You will have run of the entire property, and you can walk to much of the city. The MTSU campus is also a short bike ride or vigorous walk. We have some bicycles that we can bring by if you require them. Please just let us know.
We live in the community and are happy to interact with the guests on whatever frequency matches their preferences.
Murfreesboro is an amazing city, frequently mentioned as one of the greatest college towns in the nation. Rutherford County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the nation as well. City features extensive Civil War history classic Victorian homes, an incredible music scene, numerous community theaters and university performances, sports and other events almost every night.
The city features a bus system call Rover which has connections several times a day to Nashville. We are also excited that Uber now serves the area. Murfreesboro municipal airport features Murfreesboro Aviation for charter services with courtesy vehicles. The Nashville International Airport is about 45 minutes away.
Other things to note
One of the greatest things about this house is its proximity to downtown Murfreesboro and all the attractions. There's a market next-door and the home is on main street. So of course there is traffic and cars. There is a great sidewalk and easy access to downtown, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and historic sites. Being this close to downtown and commercial uses means you may hear the fire truck from time to time, and sometimes and you may hear some activity at the market next-door. Occasionally a guest will mention that they were able to smell the trash from the market next-door when they were in the backyard.
