My family and I went to Rome for the first time in November for my birthday. We were so happy with Sonia's B&B. The rooms, bathroom and balcony were very nice and just as pictured. Sonia went out of her way to accommodate us and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast presented offered many options and Sonia made cappuccino and coffee as requested. The location is amazing! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Sonia's B&B. She even remembered to wish me a happy birthday!
My mom and I went to Rome for the first time in October. We were so happy with Sonia's B&B. She met us the first day with coffee and a light breakfast which really helped after our long flight from the States. The room was lovely, the porch, although small was lovely. Sonia made us feel very welcomed and at home. Each morning she made the most amazing breakfast - we were overwhelmed with the choices. It was such a great way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again and we would high recommend this place. The only thing that surprised us was that the bathroom was a shared bathroom. However, when another couple came the last night we were staying there - Sonia actually let us use her own private bathroom so we wouldn't be sharing with another couple. That was so sweet of her. We actually never saw the other family at all.
My second time in Rome. This time i wanted to enjoy the real Italian experience. Staying in Sonias B&B was great. The apartment is beautiful, located in a great area, close to Vatican, Plaza Navona etc. Safe area and wonderful restaurants and shops around the corner. Very clean, beautiful windows. Every morning a delicious breakfast was served in a beautiful set up. We were able to use the laundry room. Very private from the owners apartment. My 3 friends and I enjoyed very much staying at this B&B. On top i have to say that Sonia is the best host, she is an amazing lady, happy, always smiling and ready to help us, she scheduled our transportation from and to the airport. On the last day, we need it to be at the airport very early in the morning, and she packed our breakfast for the road. Sonia thank you for everything, you and your husband are the best. We will comeback to Rome soon, and for sure we will stay in your flat. we love Rome!!, Grazie, Grazie...
This place! If you enjoy being amongst the locals with a buffer from the tourist sights, this place is perfection. It is located between the Vatican and the Tiber river on a beautiful tree lined street with lots of neighborhood shops and restaurants around the corner. The apartment is on the 5th floor and there is a charming antique elevator. Sonia and her husband are very respectful and gracious hosts. We enjoyed breakfast in their dining room both mornings of our stay. And Sonia makes excellent espresso drinks! The two guest rooms and private bathroom are nicely furnished and worked out well for us- two friends visiting Rome for the first time. Sonia was an excellent resource for shopping and also for obtaining medicine for a cold I picked up on the flight to Italy.
My wife and I came to visit our daughter who was studying abroad from the United States. We initially selected staying at the apartment mostly because it was located very near to our daughter. To our surprise we did not how lucky we were to find this place. I will just give you a few main points that I feel makes staying here so special:
1) The apartment is centrally located in Rome. We were able to easily walk to nearby sites and it is about 5 - 10 minutes away from the bridge. The apartment is located a block away from a very beautiful boulevard that has many places to shop and eat. We ate many of our late evening snacks and meals at local cafes.
2) The apartment itself is first class. When we walked into the apartment we were welcomed into a beautiful well lighted entryway. The apartment has many windows and very high ceilings so it feels very bright throughout the day. The apartment has two very spacious rooms that can easily accommodate a family of 4. They both face a courtyard and it was nice to open the extra-large windows and enjoy the beautiful evening sounds. There is also a terrace that overlooks the courtyard as well. Because of the location it is very quiet and we had a very easy time falling asleep. The private bathroom has all the conveniences you need and it is very spacious. There is a very large kitchen and dining room where we served our breakfast. There is even a washing machine we used during our stay! We also loved how the building looked overall. There is an attendant on the first floor all day .
3) The last point is the most important. I can’t tell you how special Sonia and Claudio made us feel. They opened there home to us and made us feel like family. From the delicious breakfasts that offered us various samples of Italian food , to the little snacks we had ready for us when we came back to the apartment in the afternoons and evenings. We even had the pleasure of just sitting down and visiting with them over some espresso and wine. It really made our visit extra special!!
If you are looking to visit Rome in the near future I would highly recommend you consider staying at Sonia and Claudio’s. You will have an experience that will only enhance your visit. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!
Thank you Sonia for your hospitality and opening your home to us!

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at Sonia & Claudio's B & B, which is located in the Prati neighbourhood in the heart of Rome. Everything was as described on this site - convenient location, impeccably clean, huge breakfast (savoury and sweet), and a very quiet, well-appointed bedroom. Sonia was the perfect hostess. I will stay at this B & B again when next in Rome and I highly recommend it to anyone. I've traveled around the world and have high standards, and this B & B ticks all the boxes. There are many good restaurants in the neighbourhood, but one I particularly liked was Spaccio Pasta, just a block or so away on Via Cola di Rienzo.
Thanks so much Sonia & Claudio!
The B & B is located in Prati a cross Piazza Cola di Rienzo. There are beautiful clothes shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, bars, cinemas. The area has excellent connections with both the subway that bus. In addition to 150 mt. the b & b there is a shuttle service to and from Fiumicino Airport.
