About Mike Jacobson
Retired fireman and Hotel owners. We Love Ten Mile Lake and the surrounding area. Mike has been going to Ten Mile every summer since his Grandpa purchased the cabin in 1960. Together we purchased the cabin from Mike's father in 2003. We now spend our summers in a year round home on the other end of the lake.
Mike Jacobson purchased this Cabin in 1960
Why Mike Jacobson chose Hackensack
The property was purchased by my grandfather in 1960. We have many years of family memories at this cabin. In the 70's I used to take the boat to work at the Ten Mile Inn Restaurant. It was torn down around 2005. Finns was built a few years ago in the same location. Finns restaurant is open for 2019.
What makes this Cabin unique
The cabin is located on a point with slight elevation. This allows for excellent views. In the water the point has pure sand with a drop off at just the right distance from shore. The cabin is South facing which provides a sun filled day. Near the water there is a flat area, 1/2 is sunny with no trees the other 1/2 is shaded, near the sauna and fire pit. In the water is a pure sand bottom. The sauna by the water and outdoor shower at the back of the cabin make for a true up-north cabin experience.

Perfect lake retreat
Situated on a high bank above Ten Mile, this lovely 3 bedroom cabin was a perfect setting for 4 days of relaxing. Nicely appointed kitchen, large open beamed living space faced the lake. Great dock for our boat and lovely outdoor seating for dining al fresco or enjoying a fire. Our son and friend enjoyed excellent wifi. We definitely will go back!
Thank you for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

A lovely property
We had a very nice stay here with our two kids. This is a very nice property. The swimming area is great, clean and sandy, no weeds, lots of shallow space for little ones.
Thank you for staying at our lake cabin. We are glad you enjoyed it.

Everything we wanted !!!
Really great cabin, lake and area. Caught lots of fish right off dock, some good sized bass, and perfect sandy swim beach right at property. Cabin has everything you need (bring towels), with well equipped and roomy kitchen. Great location for eating, out, shopping, gas, etc.
John, thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you Mike and Lynette
Great family time at a great place!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week here! The fishing was amazing (although the walleye weren't cooperating). You cannot beat the shoreline on this property. The sandy bottom was great for swimming near the dock, and then the drop off just past the dock provided excellent bass fishing all week. Having the sauna right along the shore was so nice - we used it everyday! Also, having access to kayaks, SUP's and paddle boats, etc was a definite bonus - that's not very common. The dock is also excellent. The cabin is nice and cozy and the kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking tools, etc that you might need. It was very comfortable and homey. Thanks for sharing your property on this beautiful lake. We'll be back!

Coziest cabin I have ever been at. Private beach with sauna is a big hit. Sandy bottom all along the dock had us swimming and jumping in all day.
Dean, thank you for the nice comments, so glad you enjoyed your stay. We love the beach area also as it really pulls you in. Mike & Lynette
