This apartment is 160 sq mts and comfortably accomodates 6 people. Recently refurbished with very fine furniture.
The large lounge with fireplace and comfy velvet sofas has TV, DVD and WiFi.
Our dining room seats 8 people and kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped.
You'll be on a 2° top floor (no elevator) of an ancient florentine building.
Although in the heart of the most lively downtown area, it's totally noisless and located truly a step away from every Renaissance Florence's beauty.
After much research to look for the perfect accommodations for a 5 night stay in Florence, I came across this apartment...and it could not have been better. Rosamaria is a great host. The apartment has everything as described...and more. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Even though we out for almost every meal, it was great to wake up to a cup of coffee to get our day going and the apartment provided the perfect spot to come back late in the day to enjoy some wine, meats and cheeses before heading out again for the evening. The location could not have been more convenient. It is just on the other side of the river near great several great restaurants, fruit markets, etc...and just a short walk over the bridge into the city center to see all of the fabulous sites in Florence. We really enjoyed the location, as it gave us the best of both worlds...out of the hustle/bustle of main attractions, but so close to everything. I would not hesitate a minute to book this apartment again the next time we visit Florence.
We booked this apartment for a family vacation: my husband and I and two adult children plus son-in-law. The spacious apartment was perfect for our 10 day stay. Beautifully appointed (like the pictures) with modern appliances. Rosamaria was easy to work with, and eager to assist, both before and during our stay. As others have noted, this is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of all the key sights, yet a bit removed from the crowds. Conveniently located grocery story allowed us to have some meals in the apartment. Lots of very good restaurants in the neighborhood, which Rosamaria is happy to point out to you. All appliances were very new; washer and dryer in apartment was a nice bonus. This lovely apartment was a perfect option for our stay; and we recommend it highly.
I can’t begin to say enough about this beautiful apartment! My husband, I and another couple recently spent three weeks in Florence as part of an extended European vacation. This was our first experience with HomeAway and what luck we had! Not only was the apartment spacious and beautiful, just like the pictures show, but RosaMaria, our hostess, was absolutely wonderful. She was there to greet us and show us everything we needed to know about both the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood. She is a charming person and a gracious hostess.
The apartment is one block from the river Arno where the Santa Trinita bridge crosses into the heart of Florence, near the Duomo and all the museums, and the train station. Everything was a 10-20 minute walk away at most. The S Trinita bridge was a great place to watch the sun set on the river and see the lights of the Ponte Vecchio light up in the evening, accompanied, of course, by a gelato or a glass of wine.
The neighborhood, Santo Spirito, is charming in itself. The square was a short half block walk from the apartment and was filled with restaurants and bars and, of course, a fantastic church that contains one of Michaelanglo’s first sculptures. There was an ATM a short walk away as well as a grocery store. The Pitti Palace was just a couple of blocks away and worth the trip. It was beautiful.
The restaurants on this side of the river seemed to be a little more reasonable priced and less touristy than those on the other side of the river. One of our favorites we happened to find on the last night of our trip, called, Ristorante il Cantinone (Don’t let the waiters scare you off. They start off a bit stoic but warm up to you as the night goes on. They are actually very nice and helpful). It was directly across the street from the apartment in the wine cellar of the building. There was no sign, just a door that led down the stairs. It was one of the best restaurants we ate in during our time in Florence. Another restaurant we loved was Gusta Osteria and their sister restaurant Gusta Pizza was great when you just wanted a pizza to take home to eat. But there were so many great restaurants it was hard to go wrong with any of them.
Again, I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. We hated to leave because we had truly come to feel at home. We would definitely recommend this apartment to any of our friends and hope to be able to visit again in the future.
We were two couples looking for a comfortable apartment in Florence and this apartment more than fulfilled our expectations. First, the location is perfect. You are a few steps from the Santa Trinita Bridge in the Oltrarno district of Florence which is across the Arno River from the major sights. However, you can walk to all the museums and sights within minutes. Second, the apartment itself is very comfortable, nicely furnished and spacious. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms accommodated our party of four very nicely. The appliances (refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer) are relatively new and very functional. Third, Rosamaria is an excellent resource for local restaurants (we dined at all her recommended restaurants). She is very helpful in settling you into the apartment and readily available if you need her. However, we found we were perfectly comfortable and did not need her any further during our stay.
Be aware there is no lift as previous reviewers have mentioned. There was some street noise the first two nights due to some individuals with a boom box on the corner, but it all settled down for the balance of our stay.
In short, this was a perfect stay in one of our favorite cities in Florence. It is a grand way to take day trips to Siena, Tuscan hill towns, and the Chianti wine region. Next time, we will stay for longer than a week. We highly recommend this delightful apartment and hostess.
Our family of six loved the apartment and central location .
We would stay here again without hesitation .
Rosamaria was great.
The apartment is spacious!
Our family of 3 adults stayed in this fabulous apartment for 16 nights in December, 2015, including Christmas. From start to finish communication with Rosamaria was how it should be - always friendly & quick to respond to any questions. The apartment itself is simply fantastic. There is no photo trickery here! The apartment was enormous with 3 generous, comfortable bedrooms & a wonderful lounge to sit in and refresh those tired legs after walking around Florence all day. Every appliance worked very well & the internet was quick. We appreciated the generous supplies of toilet paper, dishwasher tablets & washing up liquid etc. Since it was Christmas time we asked Rosamaria if she had any spare decorations we could use so we felt Christmasey in the apartment. Rosamaria decorated the apartment for us beautifully which we really appreciated. The area around the apartment was fabulous for shopping and restaurants. Also a short walk to Palazzo Pitti and the Ponte de Vecchio. We walked everywhere and although the 67 stone steps were a trudge each time we returned home it was a small dent on our appreciation to have the opportunity to rent such a fabulous place. We would highly recommend staying here and would do so again if we pass through Florence again. Thank you very much Rosamaria & Massimo. It was a pleasure to meet you and we hope to do so again in the future.
