Spacious, comfortable, convenient - everything you could want!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful apartment! We walked in and I was so happy – everything is very high quality and top of the line. It is as nice as the photos, and has a very warm, friendly feeling. Rosamaria was so responsive before we arrived, answering any questions. It was great to have such a spacious comfortable place to stay for the week we were in Florence. We walked to a different nearby restaurant each night and all were delicious, it was so convenient, and also an easy walk to the Uffizi and other attractions. We loved Florence and will definitely be back!

Wonderful apartment in great location!

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed in this perfectly appointed apartment a few blocks from the Arno River. From the quintessential Italian coffee shop and sublime gelato shop right outside our door to the hidden restaurant gems just down the street, our location could not have been better. We were away from most of the noise of downtown Florence except for the occasional late night reveler below our windows. Rosamaria was an exceptional host. Greeting us when we arrived, making restaurant recommendations (that were sublime tucked away non-touristed places with unbelievable gustatory delights) and even letting her favorite waiter know we were coming. He made our night the best one we had in the city. Rosamaria's son happened to be home on spring break from college in the states. He took my 2 daughters out to see a few sights and recommended places that young people go. They enjoyed his company enormously.

Basically, we were treated like family and what could be better than that!

All in all, I cannot recommend this apartment and its gracious host enough. Thank you Rosamaria for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here for the American Thanksgiving week and we were very pleased that we had such a beautiful apartment in such a convenient location. Three king bedrooms and plenty of room for socializing in this generous space. All the conveniences and Rosamaria was a super lovely hostess.

Lisa from California

Our holiday stay at Rosamaria's apartment was absolutely perfect! From the moment of our first communications via email, then by phone, she answered all my questions, concerns and I felt so comfortable renting this apartment. I felt as if we've become friends! From the moment of our arrival where Rosamaria greeted us and showed all the functions of the apartment to our sad departure, she made sure during our stay that this was our home. Rosamaria even decorated with Christmas cheer as this would be the first time we took a holiday way from home. Our family of 5 really truly enjoyed our stay with plenty of room, furnishing beautiful, really can't say too much as I would love to keep this lovely gem to our selves! WE all felt like this was our second home away from home. WE all can't wait to return to beautiful Florence. Ciao!

Perfect for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We booked this apartment for a family vacation: my husband and I and two adult children plus son-in-law. The spacious apartment was perfect for our 10 day stay. Beautifully appointed (like the pictures) with modern appliances. Rosamaria was easy to work with, and eager to assist, both before and during our stay. As others have noted, this is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of all the key sights, yet a bit removed from the crowds. Conveniently located grocery story allowed us to have some meals in the apartment. Lots of very good restaurants in the neighborhood, which Rosamaria is happy to point out to you. All appliances were very new; washer and dryer in apartment was a nice bonus. This lovely apartment was a perfect option for our stay; and we recommend it highly.

A wonderful apartment in an amazing city!

  • 5 of 5

I can’t begin to say enough about this beautiful apartment! My husband, I and another couple recently spent three weeks in Florence as part of an extended European vacation. This was our first experience with HomeAway and what luck we had! Not only was the apartment spacious and beautiful, just like the pictures show, but RosaMaria, our hostess, was absolutely wonderful. She was there to greet us and show us everything we needed to know about both the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood. She is a charming person and a gracious hostess.

The apartment is one block from the river Arno where the Santa Trinita bridge crosses into the heart of Florence, near the Duomo and all the museums, and the train station. Everything was a 10-20 minute walk away at most. The S Trinita bridge was a great place to watch the sun set on the river and see the lights of the Ponte Vecchio light up in the evening, accompanied, of course, by a gelato or a glass of wine.

The neighborhood, Santo Spirito, is charming in itself. The square was a short half block walk from the apartment and was filled with restaurants and bars and, of course, a fantastic church that contains one of Michaelanglo’s first sculptures. There was an ATM a short walk away as well as a grocery store. The Pitti Palace was just a couple of blocks away and worth the trip. It was beautiful.

The restaurants on this side of the river seemed to be a little more reasonable priced and less touristy than those on the other side of the river. One of our favorites we happened to find on the last night of our trip, called, Ristorante il Cantinone (Don’t let the waiters scare you off. They start off a bit stoic but warm up to you as the night goes on. They are actually very nice and helpful). It was directly across the street from the apartment in the wine cellar of the building. There was no sign, just a door that led down the stairs. It was one of the best restaurants we ate in during our time in Florence. Another restaurant we loved was Gusta Osteria and their sister restaurant Gusta Pizza was great when you just wanted a pizza to take home to eat. But there were so many great restaurants it was hard to go wrong with any of them.

Again, I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. We hated to leave because we had truly come to feel at home. We would definitely recommend this apartment to any of our friends and hope to be able to visit again in the future.

Florence is a stunning City, full of Art and History and we have the privilege to share this beauty to the world travellers. The review you've sent it's the ultimate reward for me as a hostess and keeps me committed to please wonderful people like you! Thank you, Rosamaria
