This beautiful holiday apartment is fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There is hot/cold air conditioning throughout the apartment, as well as refreshing ceiling fans. There is one double or twin bedroom, a tiled marble bathroom, and an open plan living room with kitchen and dining area.

The sunny balcony is larger than average, south facing, and has pool views; it is an ideal place to dine or soak up the sun. The apartment is fully equipped with all you could need on a holiday.

There is a communal pool and separate children’s pool, both open Mid May - Late September. The attractive communal gardens with grassy areas by the pool are ideal for sunbathing.

The apartment is on the second floor, to which there are stairs or a lift. Owners baby equipment for age 6months+ (cot and high-chair) is available at no extra cost. (Please bring own cot bedding).

The double bedroom has two single beds, which can be slotted together to make a comfortable double bed. In the living room is a comfortable luxury leather sofa bed. Patio doors open out onto the sunny terrace, which has terrace furniture and a parasol for al fresco dining.

The pool area is well kept, and has grassy areas, free sun loungers and free parasols. There is a fabulous swimming pool, and a splash pool for children and for paddling.

The complex is a small modern building on only 3 levels, and has a secure entrance and elevators.

We bought the apartment in Roquetas de Mar, after travelling around Spain on our honeymoon, and deciding that we liked this area the best. The climate was a big plus, and the gorgeous desert landscape. Roquetas de Mar has an Spanish feel with Spanish holidaymakers as well as other nationalities enjoying visiting.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is on a small complex, which has a great pool, is not too crowded and has plenty of parking, yet is only 400m from the beach and promenade. The terrace is also larger than standard and overlooks the pool.

Electricity is on a Pay as you Go coin meter. With normal use this costs about 10 euro per week. This enables us to keep the rent low and to not charge extra for air conditioning.

The apartment is located in a quiet area of the resort of Roquetas de Mar, which is popular with Spanish families. The location is between Playa Serena and the marina, with plenty of shops, cafes and bars nearby.

The large beach at Roquetas is just 400m away, and extends from the marina area where there are the ruins of the medieval Castilla de Santa Ana, to Playa Serena, and beyond to the nature reserve at Las Marinas.

On a holiday in Roquetas de Mar, you can spend the day at the pool or beach, or walk along the promenade sampling tapas bars along the way, perhaps stopping for lunch in one of the chingoritos, which serve fresh seafood and other treats. The promenade transforms in the Summer evenings, with stalls, fresh chestnut stalls, family entertainment and live music. Roquetas de Mar has all the sea water sports you can imagine such as sailing, boat trips, and water skiing. There is an aquarium, a water park and Karting also available in the town. Further afield, you can take a day trip to the gorgeous Gabo de gata national park, with it's stunning desert scenery, play Golf at nearby Playa Serena, or La Envia Golf (10km). A short drive will take you to the Mini Hollywood theme park, which features sets from the classic 1960s cowboy movies that were filmed there (as well as a recent episode of Dr Who!), a zoo and a swimming pool area to cool down in on a hot day.

The climate in Almeria is one of the hottest and driest in Europe, with over 320 days of sunshine per year, very hot dry Summers and mild Winters.
