This immaculate Cape Cod cottage is located on a secluded half acre lot on the Outer Cape, away from the huge summer crowds common to so many other destinations. Just a short stroll down our sandy, private lane will be your key to an unforgettable vacation. Only two blocks to a fresh water pond perfect for fishing and boating, only a mile from Great Pond and barely 2 miles to either the Atlantic Ocean and the famed Coast Guard beach or Cape Cod Bay. Also, the National Seashore Visitor's Center, Eastham Schoolhouse Museum, and Eastham Elementary and its great playground are just a few blocks away. The cottage is equipped with everything from lobster pots to wine glasses. Amenities such as TV, bedroom air conditioning, cable TV, wireless internet, DVD, CD, and stereo will help those seldom rainy days pass with ease.
Water Access: Coast Guard beach is the closest National Park Beach to our home. It is about 2 miles by car or bicycle via the main road or serene the bike trail. The bike trail is about a 4 mile round trip to Coast Guard Beach from our house.....you can pick up the bike trail at the Seashore Visitor center just a block from the house. For calmer/warmer water, Great Pond is a perfect spot for the day. You can also head west a mile or two to enjoy bay beaches like First Encounter Beach.

This house was lovely, simple, fun
The house is in a lovely location. The yard was great and it's close to everything in Eastham and very close to the bike path and route 6 to get you everywhere else. Matthew was kind and responsive. When we arrived there were ants, they did send in an exterminator however the ants returned pretty quickly. Not a huge deal to us, we just made sure not to leave our open food. The gas for the grill was also empty but there was a place nearby to buy another. The kitchen and house was otherwise well stocked with necessitities including bikes and a stroller! When other things went wrong Matthew was very responsive and came quickly to fix them (light bulb/fuse problem in the bathroom and fire alarms that kept beeping/going off) Nothing that took away too much from our vacation feel. We had an extended stay (4 weeks) and during that time we saw him a few times and he had the cleaning service in once. The house was well stocked with games and books for kids so it would be a great place to stay as a family.
We had a great time in Eastham and the location was perfect! We are active vacationers with 2 kids and your home was all we hoped. Close to the bike paths, National Seashore and town beaches, easy access to restaurants & shops from Orleans and P-town. Outdoor shower and deck we great for dinners after long days. We have stayed at several houses on the cape and we would definitely return here.
Great location, comfortable home and playroom in basement was great for our kids!
My family enjoyed our week at this wonderful home! We walked to playground and national parks museum. King size bed was really comfortable. House was clean and perfect for our family. We plan to return next summer!
It Felt Like Home
This house was perfect for our family of 6. Secluded yet close to everything. Very clean and inviting. The kids set it felt like home. Love the outdoor shower. Would return in a heartbeat. Owner was very responsive and everything went very smooth.
Easy place to enjoy the cape from.
This house is well-situated to provide a good family vacation. Located on a quiet street, but very close to the best ocean and bay beaches on the cape, and easy access to Rt 6. The owner was extremely responsive through-out the booking process, and through-out our stay. House was clean and ready for us. Nice rear deck with outdoor shower, grill, plenty of seating, tiki lamps, umbrella, made for a good place to relax when not out and about. Interior is pretty straight-forward; our kids found some games and a few toys to play with, kitchen had what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I and our 3 adult children stayed at the house for a week and we had a wonderful time. The listing description was accurate. The house was comfortable for all of us and the outdoor shower was a bonus. The house was immaculate and everything we needed was there. The deck was lovely and private and we enjoyed all our meals outside. The kitchen was clean and stocked with everything we needed (including pantry items, tupperware containers, tin foil, etc) to have wonderful meals and pack lunches for the beach. The location was perfect, walk to the National Seashore visitor center, 2 miles to Coast Guard beach. Private and very quiet, but easy to get to beaches and town. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cape Cod! The property is well maintained and the extensive library was much appreciated. Next year I won't have to bring any beach books, just choose one of the many books on the shelf in the living room!
Take a quick bike ride along the National Seashore bike path to Coast Guard Beach and enjoy the sun and surf under the watchful eye of a national park lifeguard. Walk up the beach a few hundred yards and try your hand at surf fishing. Head to Nauset Light Beach (only 1/2 mile past Coast Guard Beach) and explore the 120-year-old lighthouse. Take a day to explore the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor's Center and Minister Pond, only a short walk from your front step. If the spacious backyard does not provide enough space, walk down the sandy lane to the elementary school fields and enjoy a game of catch. After a long day relax on your spacious deck and enjoy a cookout on the gas grill, or maybe just a long hot outdoor shower and a quiet evening will be plenty. If cooking does not sound like a vacation, take a 1/4-mile drive up Route 6 and enjoy the numerous restaurants.
