Gorgeous villa attached to the home of the lovely and friendly Italian family of Rory and Paul.
Pictures are accurate but real life is even more beautiful with everything you could require. Fully fitted and modern kitchen, air conditioning, large warm (25 degrees) pool, private entrance, within 10 minutes walking of restaurants/shops in Ariccia and cosmopolitan Albano Laziale. 15 minute walk to train to centre of Rome or 20 minute (easy) drive to quicker Metro Line A. Accessible to all of sights but pleasure of being in the hills outside of Rome. What really made the holiday was the family, so kind and helpful (including lunch, pizza evening and a BBQ), but also provide you with privacy. Unlike any other holiday this was like being part of an Italian family rather than a soulless hotel/villa.
Thank you Rory, Paul, Christina and Giovanni.
Rory and Paul's place is in the league of its own!
We, a family of five from Finland, spent our holiday there first time 2014 and had to retun this year. And not in vain. The house and the garden with a pool provided us again perfect surroundings for a relaxing holiday - a real well-kept paradise. This combined with the overwhelming and friendly hospitality of the host-family, and the proximity of the eternal city will definately make us return for the third time - planning is already well on its way.
We can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a "more than five stars" holiday.
Thank you once avain Rory and Paul!

We have just returned from a wonderful two week holiday at Rory and Paul's villa. On arrival, we ate a delicious meal and enjoyed great conversation with Rory, Paul and their daughter; such a lovely welcome on our first visit to Italy. Throughout our stay the family went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and to offer advice on where to go, what to see and where to shop. However, they managed to do this without intruding and they made sure we had our privacy.
The villa itself is scrupulously clean and tidy, with all the equipment you will need - and the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable! The pool, of course, was a great hit with our teenager and is quite large, we spent many happy hours in it. Another hit with our teenager, and us, was the property (and garden) wide wifi and the satellite tv with English programmes.
From the villa it's only a short drive to the local train station and we had three trips into Rome, managing to see all the major sites and fit in a few tours. The Roman port town of Ostia Antica on the outskirts of Rome is only half an hour away and is a jaw-dropping place to visit with beautiful mosaics. We also drove two and a half hours south to visit Pompeii - a quite achievable day trip from this villa. The small town of Ariccia has many restaurants, or osterias, to choose from, many of which serve delicious food - Rory and Paul can give you recommendations if you ask. It also has a pretty church on a small piazza which on a Saturday night in August when we visited had a little market and music playing, it felt like we were visiting the 'real' Italy and weren't just frequenting somewhere full of tourists.
In summary, a great little villa in a lovely location with friendly owners - I urge you to visit!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay here inJuly. Rory and Paul were amazing hosts who were there when we needed them but we're not intrusive also, they were able to give us advice on places to visit. Sharing a couple of evening with them was wonderful and we will cherish the memories. If you are looking for a villa with a pool outside Rome don't hesitate, just book it, it will not disappoint.
Myself, wife and two boys (12 & 9 years old) stayed here for 2 weeks. Aurora and Paolo were perfect hosts. Very welcoming and provided advice and knowledge to help our holiday go further but also making extra special touches such as a lunch with them on our arrival day and a completely fabulous pizza evening, where the pizzas were cooked by their son, Giovanni. It made the holiday different to other holiday rentals we have stayed in as Aurora and Paolo became friends rather than just "holiday home owners".
The villa is fabulous. A lovely pool and gardens and a well-equipped and comfortable property that suited our every need. The air-con and pool were particularly welcome in the Italian summer heat!! The location was excellent as it allowed you to get into the centre of Rome in less than an hour (train, or car plus metro link), visit the stunning local countryside such as Arricia, Lake Albano and the Castelli Romani towns and also get to the sea in half an hour with a car if you wish (great beaches at Anzio).
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend staying at Aurora and Paolo's villa to anybody - couples, families or otherwise!! Grazie mille xx
We had an unforgettable summer vacation in the lovely little village Ariccia in Castelli Romani. It was great being your guest and we really enjoyed all the hospitality.
The house had all we expected and even more. Our children (aged 7 and 12) loved swimming in the pool while we parents could relax and use the good wifi-connection!!! The villa itself is very clean and well kept. The kitchen has all you need for cooking if you prefer stay "at home" for dinner.
There was noting missing in this villa and from our holiday. You really had thought it all on behalf of us.
Besides all we had the best of weather and can really look back at the vacation with a big smile.
We got lot's of good tips from you on the activities in Ariccia and the nearby villages. You gave also good support when we drove around with the car. :) Rome is not that far away and easily accessed also by train or bus.
We got perfect value for our money and hope to have the possibility to visit your villa again in the near future.
THANK YOU RORY AND PAUL!
