Expansive views down Penobscot Bay with beach. A truly remarkable location at the north end of Penobscot bay. This is our summer house, not a cheap rental. Private setting down a quaint dirt road. Pick fresh mussels on the beach at low tide. Enjoy seals, sailboats, our osprey family and views of islands from our deck. The beach at sunset is stunning. Cape Jellison is a very special place, a secret spot in the heart of Penobscot bay.

Stayed here in 2000 - still have very good memories of the house and surroundings. Picked up my sister-in-law from Bar Harbor coming over from Canada(in the mist!), entertained friends up from Washington etc - sort of felt at home, cooking etc but on different continent (from Winchester, England) but really house felt home from home.
Would recommend for an etended family reunion!
PS Dave was great in dealng with any problems - wonder if he is still around
Yes, Dave is still with us! He manages the house and helps our renters with all the "little things" they need.
We had a wonderful time at this cottage. Plenty of room and wonderful Maine rock beach. Loved the beach combing, sea urchins, starfish and the seclusion. Close to lots of activites. We plan on coming back. The Clifford Family
We found the property exactly
as described. The house is very
comfortable and nicely supplied, the
surroundings attractive and quiet. A few
mosquitoes under the trees but no more
than one would expect in the area. We had
a very enjoyable week (July 2004).
Nearby public boat launch (about 1/2 mile). Launch your sea kayak from our beach. Swim off a sandy beach at the mouth of the Penobscot River, about 10 minutes by car. Explore Fort Point State Park (about 1/2 mile). From south to north within 1 hours drive are Camden, Belfast, Searsport, Bucksport, Blue Hill, Castine, Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. See the museum at Searsport. Blue Hill is famous for fine dining. Camden for shopping and eating. Belfast for shopping and eating. Watch the tide go out from a dockside restaurant in Castine. Take the ferry from Lincolnville to Isleboro (that island you've been looking at from our beach!)
