About Heather Bailey
I originally moved to Savannah in 2000 ago as a design professor for SCAD and I immediately fell in love with the beauty, charm and nuances of this gem of a city. I yearned for a new adventure so I left teaching and purchased the home and spent over 2 years designing and creating the perfect “home away from home!”
Heather Bailey purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Heather Bailey chose Historic District - North
This home is centrally located and sits under the canopy of a beautiful Live Oak tree; I fell in love from the first moment I entered the door and realized she had retained most of the original details from from the 1880's. Kept it historic, but also updated it in a stylish yet appropriate way. She really came to life after her renovation and now it allows me to share her and beautiful Savannah with guests from all over the globe. I also love the neighborhood feel, yet so close to restaurants and shopping in the historic district.
What makes this Apartment unique
Unlike other owners or management companies, we offer a very personal touch which includes meeting all our guests at the home for check-in, and providing customized walking maps with points of interests and recommended tours, shopping, and restaurants. I pride myself on offering extremely personalized service, realizing that each and every guest and their visit is special. Since we live locally in Savannah, we are available anytime both before and during your stay for any questions or assistance needed. I look forward to hosting you at the Savannah Pied-a-terre, and showing you why Savannah is considered the Hostess City of the South!

Great property and great location. Heather was a great host and has a wonderful place. Location was the best for getting around. Easily surging walking distance of many places.
Loved this HomeAway ! Heather made sure you had everything you needed to make it feel like home. Clean, comfortable, great bed, excellent location with a map that made it so easy to walk everywhere, roomy bathroom with large tub and nice shower, and parking was easy with the app. Heather provided coffee, wine, cheese and crackers, so nice for arriving after a long drive.
My husband and I enjoyed visiting the Telfar museums especially the Owens-Thomas house. We liked the Fox and Fig, the Crystal Beer Parlor, and the Ordinary Pub for places to eat.
Enjoyed a drive to the Bonaventure Cemetery and Tybee Island. Also, saw a show The Piano Men at the historical Savannah Theater which was an easy 10 minute walk away and very comfortable at 10pm.
Just loved walking around the squares in Savannah. Such a beautiful city. Hope we get to return and stay at Heather’s place again. We recommend staying here!
Fabulous rental. Great location. Amenities perfect. Would stay again!!
Lovely home central to downtown. Host provided excellent local information. We parked our car and walked or used free transportation. Definitely use again for quick getaway.
Wonderful Stay - Great Location!
This was our first trip to Savannah and we loved the beautiful historic district! Heather’s place was in the perfect location for us to walk everywhere. She had a map for us with restaurants and points of interest marked. We took it with us and it was very helpful! Her place was very clean and nicely done with lots of amenities! We appreciated being able to do laundry, relax in the nice tub, and enjoyed the wine, cheese & crackers she provided! Heather was quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you Heather! We loved Savannah and hope to return someday!
Everything you need!
We've been to Savannah many times and stayed in many vacation rentals. This is by far the best appointed one bedroom rental we've found. Full kitchen, full cookware, beach towels, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, etc. For those of us that fly in, that is a big deal, and highly appreciated. The bathrobes were a nice touch, as was the wine, cheese, and crackers. Biking around Savannah lets you cover so much more ground, and it is an easy bike ride to Green Truck Pub, and other nearby places south of downtown. The bikes are well maintained and save you big bucks on a rental. The bed was comfortable, but wish we'd had time for a nice long soak in that tub. The location has both advantages and disadvantages, but the East end is really coming into its own, making this an ideal quiet location where you no longer have to travel so far to find multiple places to eat or shop. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Home is located in the heart of the historic district within 1 block to free city shuttle and Crawford Square. 5 minute walk to River Street or Forsyth park. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, walking tours, ghost tours, carriage rides, & historic house museums! 2 Bicycles for your enjoyment - a great way to explore Savannah!
