This one bedroom suite is perfect for a couple, but also has a double fold-out bed in the sitting area that would accommodate one or two smaller children, if they do not mind sleeping together. There is also room for a playpen (which we supply) for infants or toddlers to sleep in the bedroom with Mom and Dad. (a highchair is also available) Fully-equipped kitchen, full-size bath (Tub/Shower combo) and laundry facilities are also available in the suite. The private view deck, right outside your door, has an umbrella table and chairs and is perfect for morning coffee, happy hour drinks, and barbeques.
Surrounded by Nature and Wildlife, (there is a good chance you will see Mule Deer or Big Horn sheep in the yard), this suite has everything you will need for a relaxing and a carefree holiday.
Whether you want an active sporting vacation or a quiet retreat, this is for you. All the activities, the Okanagan has to offer, are at your doorstep. Play one of the many award-winning golf courses, bike, or hike the historic Kettle Valley Railway Trail, partake in any of the many water-sports offered by Okanagan and Skaha Lakes, the list is endless. Also, let us not forget the 'Challenge Triathlon' for you really avid sports enthusiasts. The world renowned 'Penticton Hockey School' runs all summer, as well.
However, if you prefer a quieter escape, this area has just as much to offer. A relaxing float down the Channel, beautiful beaches, and winery touring, (the closest winery is only a stone's throw away [Blasted Church]) and the sun is almost always shining. These are only some of the endless summer activities.
The rest of the year also offers many unique things to do. Apex and Baldy areas are within an easy drive which boast amazing downhill, cross country and snow shoe trails as well as outdoor skating rinks. Fall, Spring and Summer offer the Okanagan Wine Festivals and these are only a few of the areas popular events. What more could you want?

I am retired and my wife, Wendy, works in a local retail shop in Penticton. We moved to the area after my retirement, because we had always found ourselves bringing the kids to the area for sporting events or just coming on family vacations. Why not retire to a place you always enjoyed as your own favorite vacation spot. We both grew up in Eastern Canada, and lived most of our adult lives in the Vancouver Area. We have seen Canada from one end to the other, numerous times, and could have settled anywhere after retirement. We chose the Okanagan. Great summer weather and mild town of golf of summer and winter than 200 of them! Penticton is one of British Columbia's premier vacation spots, but not everyone wants to stay in a hotel/motel and eat in a restaurant every meal. Our home is in a beautiful location and we thought that we would like to share that beauty with visitors who were into a more laid back holiday; in a more natural setting. We love it here in the summer and think of our home as our own private vacation spot. What better way to enhance other people's holidays than to share our shangrala.
Randy or Wendy purchased this house in 2002
The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The suite is in a quiet neighborhood.
The experience was pleasant.
This place was great! Every day we would sit on the deck and have a morning coffee. The deck was our breakfast and dinner hangout, including a glass of wine to end the day. This place is nestled in the hills overlooking Skaha lake away from the tourists and traffic. Don't get me wrong, you are only minutes away from Penticton. Randy and Wendy were the perfect hosts, offering privacy while you stayed. They provided everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. The suite itself is private, clean and modern. We went to the beach, Kangaroo Creek, and wineries. Every day we would see wildlife in the yard, it was like our own personal show. This is a must stay if you are visiting the Okanagan. We will definately be returning!
A big five stars for this place. The suite is fully appointed as described with a great kitchen and a very pleasant deck area. Hosts Randy and Wendy are available for local information. Their knowledge of the local wineries was particularly helpful in narrowing down the tasting options from a plethora of good vineyards. Skaha Bluffs, just a couple km to the north is a sweet spot for hiking and/or rock climbing. We did this trip in late March which is definitely off-season, but our gamble that the Okanagan rain shadow would give us reasonable spring weather paid off. Mid-April would probably be even more ideal for folks like us who live where winter drags on just a bit too long. If you look at all the other VRBO options in the Okanagan you will be hard pressed to find anything else that even comes close to the quality/price ratio you’ll find here. Thanks again R&W; hope we can repeat a similar trip soon.
We have stayed in the suite numerous times over the last 2 years and have booked for this summer. This is the ideal suite for a couple or small family, we just love sitting on the deck enjoying the view and quiet. The suite was great and now after the upgrades it is even better. The owners Randy and Wendy are very helpful but not obtrusive.
The full kitchen and laundry are great as we normally stay for a week. The location couldn't be better quiet area but close to wineries and beaches. Love the hill for biking! Definitely recommend this suite!
We stayed in the suite in late September, and were thrilled with our experience. The place was immaculate, nicely decorated, and outfitted with everything we needed! The kitchen is great- and we ended up making meals IN just about every night. The large deck was one of our favourte features -- with daily visits from deer, and many bird sightings. The location of this suite is ideal... perfectly situated close to world-class climbing at Skaha Bluffs, and a short road-bike ride to the beautiful wineries in OK falls. We'll be back!
This is a hidden gem. The suite was ideal for 2 people and the attention to detail by Randy and Wendy was outstanding. The access to the large deck with the lovely views make this a lovely spacious accomodation. The kitchen is equipped to meet any cook's needs. It is a perfect location for doing winery tours and participating in the many outdoor sports activities offered by this region. Wendy and Randy are exceptionally gracious hosts. We highly recommend this accomodation.
Skaha Bluffs, a popular rock climbing area, is just 4 km north of us.
The take off points for various sections of the KVR Trail(Hiking and Biking) are within 15 minutes.
There are beaches, parks and chrildren's play grounds very close, at both ends of Skaha Lake.
Wineries are everywhere.
We are located just above the run/cycle portion of the Penticton Challenge Triathalon.
