Castle / Alfama in the historic center

perfect location to experience the neighborhood and feel old city vibe. very compact place, but has it all. very quite place on no traffic street.

Full of character from the outside with all the comforts of home on the inside, for a short break it was the perfect place, and myself and my son really enjoyed our stay. It was also quite satisfying that when we stood out on the balcony, we observed the envious glances of fellow tourists looking at us as they passed by. The property is close to the main must see sights and amenities, with public transport near by, but we also found the best way to see Alfama was to walk around and were delighted to find something of interest on practically every corner. A return visit is a must.....

We had a great time in Lisbon. This apartment is conveniently located and it is as beautiful as it is in the pictures. They were available to meet us and answered any questions necessary. I would definitely rent this apartment again when I go back to Lisbon. The only small negatives are that it is a one floor steep narrow stair case. However if you are going to Lisbon be prepared to walk up steep hills anyway. Also the second bed is not as comfortable as the main bed. They also have the Oprego restaurant around the corner that had the best pasties de natas we tried.

The apartment is clean, light, well equipped and perfect for a short stay. We were able to cook a meal, (thank you for the wine!) and found the emergency medical supplies in the bathroom very useful (unfortunately!) The bathroom is the most roomy I have come across so far, with a cute little porthole for ventilation. The beds are firm and comfortable, and the street is quiet in the evenings, even though the apartment is close to shops and restaurants. The information book (and Luís) gave plenty of information and recommendations which were very useful, and we ate out several times using the suggestions, and each time we were very happy with our choice.

We struggled a bit with the doors, but Luís was at the end of the phone to guide us through our problems.(Are we the only people who turn the key the wrong way? Street door towards the lock, apartment door away from the lock)

I think more warning should be given about the very steep stairs to the property, and the difficulty in the evenings when the stairs have no lights (we are 72 and 68), but overall, we would be happy to return to Lisbon and this apartment.

Lisbon is a wonderful city with friendly people and fabulous food. For modern art enthusiasts the Estação Oriente designed by Calatrava is not to be missed.

The apartment is comfortable with two bedrooms located in Alfama. It was thoughtfully stocked with basic amenities coffe,water etc which we really appreciated. Luis was there to meet us and gave us helpful suggestions of things to do and places to eat.

The neighborhood is interesting to walk in taking you back to an earlier time with churches,the sea and the Castello nearby.

Excellent restaurants are within walking distance. The location is perfect.
