About John

Like many people with a holiday home in Connemara, though Irish by blood I was born in the UK. Though my work means I cannot live here, I do love to visit as often as I can and so do my friends.

John purchased this house in 2012

Why John chose County Galway

My family come from this region of Ireland and though I do not live here, it is wonderful to have such a beautiful house to visit when I get a chance. The air of peace and the lovely country views make it very special...not to mention the great access to the best fishing lakes in Ireland.

What makes this house unique

This must be one of the most comfortable houses around with its 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, wheelchair access and stunning views. The peat stove is an added touch of tradition among the modern home-comforts. The Views of the hills and the private garden make it ideal to throw away the cares of daily life and really relax!

Ti Aine : Beautiful Holiday Home In The Heart Of Wonderful Connemara
average rating of 5.0 based on 5 reviews

Great place to be

  • 5 of 5

This holiday house is very spacious, with a big courtyard and protected garden behind the cottage, making it ideal for children. We loved the bright rooms, big tables and ample sitting in front of the fire place. Plenty of electrical appliances are generously provided to the guest's use. Any idea of cooking or baking can comfortably materialize.

A small grocery store is only 250m away and they stock wonderful bread, some meat and daily necessities. Cornamona's location between the two big Connacht lakes: Corrib and Mask, offers countless possibilities for great outings, near and far. Luckily, we had a lot of good weather during our three weeks, so we were out in all directions. For walks, there are several wonderful scenic roads starting at this cottage's doorstep. One of the greatest with view of dozens of islets in Lough Corrib, is more or less just on the hill above the house (Seanbhóthar-ask at the shop). Ti Aine's place is so ideal year around, people will queue to book.

Highly recommend

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of spending four weeks at Ti Aine this summer. The house is located in a stunning part of Galway, in a small village with a friendly pub, shop and great playground. The house and garden were surprisingly large, and provided plenty of room for ourselves and our family. The house was extremely comfortable, well equipped with everything you might need, and pleasantly decorated. The owner and managers were very friendly to work with. Thank you for the great stay!

We (2 adults, 3 teenagers) have enjoyed our three weeks stay in this spacious, lovely, clean cottage! It was very well equipped. A warm welcome by our host. Location of the cottage was good. Peaceful and quiet. Driving through Connemara is stunning. The lakes, the views!!! We would love to visit again.
