Two week stay in Las Palmas

A quirky, pleasant and well maintained apartment situated in a secure location which is well maintained. Everything you need for a great base. Situated right next to a fantastic beach with supermarkets at your doorstep. We chose Las Palmas as we wished a change from tourist trap resorts. We were not disappointed as the city offers much by way of shopping and places of interest and at local prices. Remember that you will be staying in a city but the noise outside is not excessive. We would recommend this apartment and had a wonderful two weeks holiday.

On the Doorstep

Enjoyed our stay in Begona's apartment. It's on the doorstep of the lovely promenade and beach. The property was clean and bright and ideal for just the two of us, felt like we were in real Spain rather than a Holiday apartment. The people in the building were friendly especially the doorman. Took Begona's advice about parking the car which only cost us 35 Euros for the week and was ideal. Plenty of restaurants/bars to chose from night or day.

Would definitely stay there again, just one thing we'd like to request next time and that is a couple of pyrex dishes to cook our local fish in.

An overall very enjoyable holiday in a good flat in a vibrant and welcoming city.

My wife and I, who are from London, spent three weeks in Begona's apartment in Jan/Feb 2016. Its location was perfect for our requirements, being less than a minute's walk from the splendid Las Canteras promenade and beach, close to shops and restaurants and within ten minutes' walk of Santa Catalina bus station (serving several destinations throughout the island, some with a change at the main San Telmo terminus).

Begona met us on arrival and, when we reported a few minor deficiencies discovered later, was very prompt and efficient in arranging to have these put right.

The flat itself was clean and proved to be a pleasure to stay in. It is a good size, well equipped with kitchen essentials and with many almost new appliances, including a dehumidifier in the bedroom, which proved to be invaluable due to the dampness occasioned by the sub-tropical climate. There was much more storage space than anyone could possibly need, even for a long stay! Feeling more like a home than a holiday rental, the apartment has character, with a mix of traditional and modern furnishings. The presence from time to time of the concierge made us feel safe. We were also helpfully advised by him of an unexpected Las Palmas public holiday of which we were unaware.

We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to have a holiday in Gran Canaria in a vibrant location with many facilities on hand and preferring not to be in the heart of a tourist complex.

Lovely apartment very close to Canteras Beach

Begonia was very efficient and thoughtful in dealing with our booking arrangements.

The apartment was very clean and although near a road it was quiet. It was very convenient for the city and the beach.

My wife and I really enjoyed our six day stay.

Spacious, bright, airy apartment on the beach!

It is a short five minute walk from Santa Catalina bus station to the apartment and it is very easy to find. The location of the apartment is absolutely perfect; a stones throw from the beach and the Playa las Canteras, which has a chilled, yet vibrant vibe, great restaurants and bars and lots going on, especially on different nights on the week. There are also lots of shops to buy groceries within a five minute walk from the apartment.

Bego was extremely communicative by text message and phone and arrived to greet us at the apartment as soon as we arrived. She was warm and welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed...plus loads of towels which was great as we spent so much time swimming!

The apartment was huge, very clean and had everything you could need! The bathroom had lots of toiletries already and the kitchen had all the utensils you would need if you were staying as a family. There was also a washing machine and dryer. A real home from home!

The only negative comments I would make are that, although there were dehumidifiers in each room, I wasn't sure how to get some of them to work and it got quite sticky in the apartment and material felt damp after a day or so. Secondly, we hired a car and parking was a nightmare but that isn't any reflection on the apartment which was absolutely fab!
