Falmouth Harbour Villa Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom House With Pool in Falmouth

This beautifully finished, brand new property overlooks one of the best harbour sites of the world. Its position takes advantage of trade wind breezes and spectacular panoramic views.

A light, contemporary house comprising 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with open en suite.

With an additional large mezzanine level 'snug', housing TV, books and double sofa bed, this property can sleep up to 6 people. We prefer children are over 5 yrs.

The open plan living / kitchen area opens out on all sides.

Step out on decking to the swimming pool and covered dining area, finished with operable louvres.

The nearby grocery is half a mile away and English harbour and historic Nelson's Dockyard is a short 5 minute drive around the bay where you will find a variety of restaurants, coffee and ice-cream shops, grocery, medical centre, tennis courts and spa many of which remain open in the low season.

Along with the beautiful Pigeon and Galleon beaches 5 minutes drive away this is the perfect spot for a varied and relaxing holiday.

About Nicky Starr

Darryl has been coming to Antigua for many years as part of the yachting industry and Nicky is a dentist practicing in the Uk. They have 2 children age 7 and 10 and try and spend as much time as possible in Antigua.

Why Nicky Starr chose St. Paul

The house was built in 2012 as a family bolt hole, somewhere the Starr family could spend time during the season. The area has a feeling of village life where it is easy to make friends and get involved.

What makes this villa unique

This property is fresh, clean and cool set in a wonderful location to get the most out of your holiday whether that be relaxing, activities on and off the water, fine dining or nightlife.

A near perfect property so well positoned

  • 5 of 5

We have visited Antigua several times in recent years and were eager to stay at Starr House after seeing it a couple of years ago but then it was not available.

The property is indeed what it says it is and the photos indicate, if not more so, and its facilities and positioning are close to perfection. Some may baulk at the lack of aircon in any of the rooms but the Trade Winds provide more than adequate cooling on most days - just relax with the breeze and enjoy!. Skinny dipping in the multi coloured LED illuminated pool water at night certainly has its merits here! We had planned to venture out more often than we did but simply relaxing by the (large) plunge pool or just taking in the breathtaking views all around just proved irresistible all too often. Anna and Peter (Local managing agents) could not have been more attentive and responsive. Falmouth Harbour is a good place to base yourself for an Antiguan holiday with enough in the locale to provide everything if you don't wish to travel out of the bay. Lovely restaurants and bars of all themes and standards, best beaches, sailing/water sports and historic sites all near by. There is no doubt too you are still within the heart of a living local community and its clear most keep guard dogs! :-) but there is no sense of unfriendliness or lack of safety, On this visit we took time to off road it to explore hidden historic sites and the more remote beaches (not far away) using the 4x4 rented SUV that's essential to maximise your opportunities and cope with the many varying road/track standards here. We heartily recommend Cloggies and Papas for local eating and socialising but be wary that some other key places are closed from June to October - but don't always advertise that. Self catering for a relaxed breakfast on the dining veranda was blissful every day. We cannot but do anything but praise Starr House ... and we have seen stayed in a few wonderful places in Antigua already ..... Book it now if you can.

Wonderful Villa

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a week at the Starr villa, and from the moment we walked onto the balcony, we were in love. From every aspect, we had no disappointments. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here when traveling to Antigua. Working with the Starrs was flawless, and the information they provided was fabulous. We explored the entire island, and we learned if we return to Antigua, we will only stay at the Starr house.

Great House, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Starr House. It is a very well kept and modern house with every amenity you could want for a relaxing stay in Antigua.

Our first few days the traditional trade wind breeze had gone on vacation, but with the open layout and fans the house was still quite comfortable.

Once the breeze came back it was simply a spectacular place to unwind and enjoy the view.

most of our group was more than content to hang out by the pool reading and relaxing all day.

It's a bit far to walk to the Dockyard or AYC, but we setup a schedule with a local driver who was prompt, very sociable, and quite reasonable costs.

Situated on Rose Hill, the Starr House is nestled amongst privately owned villas and adjacent to the local village. The house is a short 5 minute drive to the two lovely swimming beaches, Pigeon and Galleon, historic Nelson's Dockyard and the restaurants and amenities of English and Falmouth Harbours.

Learn to sail with On Deck, play tennis at Temos or visit the spa at the Yacht Club Marina Resort.

Hike the goat track at early morning then spend the day on the beach taking in lunch at Roxy's.

Grab a gelato and stroll along the dock to see superyachts of the world.

Hike or take a horse trek to the deserted Rendezvous beach.

Visit Shirley Heights at sunset for Reggae and later enjoy one of the many fine restaurants, maybe finishing at Abracadabras for late night dancing.

This is the perfect spot to get involved with Falmouth life or alternatively, view the yachting world from afar in a relaxed cool setting.
