Hinckley Lake Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cross-Rip cottage is located in a beautiful remote area at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. This waterfront cottage provides a private sandy beach so that you may enjoy a relaxing swim in this cool, clear mountain lake. Very few boats frequent this part of the lake, making your vacation a peaceful one. We suggest you enjoy your morning coffee in our screened-in gazebo or lakeside deck to view the beautiful loons swimming about- a truly wonderful site to see. This cottage has recently been updated to provide you with a clean and comfortable vacation. New heating and air conditioning have been added for your comfort. Satellite TV is also available at no extra charge. High speed internet is also available. All you need to provide are linens and towels. Call today to book this cottage for a vacation to remember for years to come.

We had a great time here! The cottage is charming and the lake is wonderful. The kids enjoyed swimming all day long and bonfires at night. They never slept so well!! We will always consider this one of our best vacations.

Wonderful vacation

  • 4 of 5

Our experience at Cross-Rip cottage was very pleasant. The cottage was exactly as described and very clean. The view from the cottage, and the deck is lovely and we had our morning breakfasts in serenity, and our evening tea/coffee with some lovely sunsets.

We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing, though the fish didn't bite! The boys enjoyed roasting marshmallows every night at the fire-pit outside. The sandy beach is small and not on the property itself, but is a common one, just a few feet away.

Tricia and Molly provided excellent customer service. They provided the linens and towels (at extra charge) and came on the morning of the 4th of July, when we called them suspecting a leak in the washroom, which turned out to be just the toilet tank sweating.

All in all it was a very pleasant vacation and I would definitely recommend it to any group looking for peace and quiet times on the lake.

Thanks, Molly and Tricia, for providing such a good experience.
