About Weslea Sidon
My husband Curtis and I are transplanted NYers. He had been a part-time resident since the early '60's and I became one in the 70's. After owning a small antique business and working for Summer Festival of Art many summers, we moved here full time in 1999. I'm a poet and musician; Curtis is a photographer dedicated to film.
Weslea Sidon purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Weslea Sidon chose Bernard
An iconic spot at the end of Goose Cove. One of the most beautiful, gentle, welcoming views on MDI. We are privileged to own it and delighted to share it. Originally owned by the summer librarian of our small village, the property neighbored ours. It was given to the Nature Conservancy to sell and we purchased it with a promise to them and our neighbor to live there and love it, and not to "develop" it.

Quintessential Maine cottage
Very easy process. Prompt response time and laid back relaxed atmosphere. Pictures are accurate! The kids picked blueberries and collected snails from the beach that they cooked up in garlic wine and butter! Oh and did I mention my dogs absolutely loved swimming in the ocean their first time!
My mom and I just stayed for a week and it was lovely. The cottage is charming but also solidly built and sturdy. The views really are as pictured on-line and it I was surprised how quiet and private the cottage felt, even though the driveway isn’t a long and winding one. The owners were terrific in reservations and communications. And our dog was happy there as well. 5 stars!
A hidden gem
I spent a week in early June, along with my daughter and her mini aussie. The view was absolutely beautiful. The cottage was cozy and clean. We enjoyed a rainy day staying in and cooking seafood from Parsons. The kitchen was simple, but so functional. Location on the quiet side of the island was very relaxing. It was a great place to come back to at the end of the day We will definitely come back!!!

A Beautiful Quiet Place
We really enjoyed our stay in West Tremont, Acadia. The weather was not stellar, so we were glad that we had rented a little house that was snug and cozy and had a wood stove! The house was well equipped and had everything that we needed. It was very clean. We really enjoyed the main open living area. The view from the house was amazing, esp at dawn. It was close to lots of hiking.
Cozy and perfect
Weslea and Curtis let us know they were only a phone call away if needed, but we really needed nothing at all. They have plenty of reading material, games, and movies for a rainy day (like our first evening). There was also plenty of kitchen necessities (cooking basics, tea, coffee, etc). The cottage is clean and comfy. The views of the harbor are beautiful and it’s blissfully quiet. It was super easy to warm up the cottage and the wood stove made it so cozy. Our family of 4 and our dog had a fabulous time. Thank you for such a perfect spot to rest after long hikes and rock climbing adventures!
