Beautiful apartment and great hosts!
Our hosts Carlo and Adele were fantastic! The apartment was beautiful, had a great location and a spectacular view.
Carlo had helped us with a car rental and transportation to the train.
Will definitely stay there again!
Thank you so much. Nick and Daria
Thank you, Daria and Nick. You have been wonderful guests!
Hope to meet you again.

This property was perfect for us. We were a group of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) so we rented this house and "the bird's nest" on the 3rd floor in order to accommodate everyone. The view was probably my favorite part. Having breakfast on the patio was a wonderful way to start the day. Adele and Carlo were very friendly, helpful and always available to answer any questions. They greeted us with a delicious cake and honey hazlenut spread. So sweet and hit the spot for hungry travelers (for a few days). They also provided instant coffee/tea etc. The home is spotless and well equipped with everything you could need for excursions to the beach etc. We felt very spoiled by all the details and efforts to make it feel like home. It was also very nice to have a dishwasher and a washing machine. San Vito Chietino is a charming village full of friendly people and picturesque views. We were visiting family in Ortona so we did not spend much time in San Vito Chietino but we hope to return because it was wonderful. We visited a family vinyard Azienda Agricola Olivastri Tommaso and would highly recommend checking it out and picking up some delicious wines. We also enjoyed hiking down to the beach (stairs are located near the pink gelateria in the village-we took the long way down but stairs are probably a bit safer and much shorter-lots of steps so if you have trouble with steps take the car). Take time to explore the village you will love it! Thank you Adele and Carlo for your hospitality. We felt our stay in your home was a great value and appreciate all your efforts to make this a great place for your guests to enjoy and relax.
Spacious apartment in charming San Vito Chiettino with sea and mountain vistas
Adele and Carlo are gracious and generous hosts. The apartment is thoughtfully appointed with spacious rooms on three levels and two private patios for dining and relaxing while enjoying the sunset views of the Gran Sasso mountains and the azure Adriatic. Perfect accomodation for two, or two couples,or families would be comfortable with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms on separate levels. Lovely town with amenities and pristine sand beach and trabocchi on the pier. Lanciano is 12km away and well worth a visit. For Canadians, theWWII Moro River cemetery where the remains of 1600 Canadian soldiers have been beautifully memorialized is a humbling site to visit.
Carlo's English is excellent and he is a good resource for restaurants and sights to see. Adele thoughtfully provides everything one needs in a home away from home.
Mille grazie ,Adele and Carlo.

Exactly what we wanted.
The apartment and views are just as shown in the pictures. San Vito Chietino is the quiet upper town with a few shops, bars, grocery and pizza place, which is next to the house. There are more restaurants in the marina down by the sea. We explored many Abruzzo towns and villages using both the A14 and S16. Adele and Carlo were great. They even picked up on my birthday, from my passport, and brought by a very nice selection of small cupcakes. We could not have wanted any more.
We found this apartment perfect for our needs. It was spacious and very comfortable. The balcony and patio area was like an extra room and there was plenty of shade in very warm weather. Carlo and Adele could not have been more helpful. We would love to return!
This apartment and the hosts were absolutely fantastic. Exactly what was required.
The bedrooms and the extra supplies that were necessary - towels, bedding, etc - were perfect. There was an exact rundown of the elaborate recycling protocol (which, I didn't manage to follow) However, our hosts Carlo and Adele, assured us that this was not a problem
It was an ideal for location for what we went to Italy to do - that was to visit a War Cemetery (well, that, and to eat ice-cream!). The parking was fine, if a little busy, but we were never left with nowhere to park.
The village in which the apartment is situated is charming and has everything one might need.
One note I would add is that we arrived very late at night and our hosts were very clear as to how to get into the apartment However, there was no where opened, so we were unable to get a cup of tea or coffee. Might I suggest that, should this be the case in future, quests might appreciate a wee teabag, or some milk waiting. I realise that this is a big ask, but I am sure that carlo and Adele would be appreciative of this suggestion?
And, to Carlo and Adele - as I said, we arrived late so they were unable to greet us - it was well after midnight; I also said that they left us very clear instructions as to how to get inside - so all was ideal. Further they came to greet us the next evening and what a lovely warm, happy couple they were - great humour and so welcoming. The also met us at our departure, to bid us farewell - it was just so lovely.
Thank you and, if you visit this apartment, you will be very, very lucky indeed.
Thank you, Amanda, for your lovely words. As you have noticed, San Vito is a small town, and so many public activities usually close late at night only from june to august. However, maybe you haven't noticed that under the water boiler there is a wooden box always full of different tea bags, and near it a sealed jar of Nescafè. But thanks again for your review, and we will surely consider your suggestion for offering a better service. Ciao. Carlo & Adele.
From its 120 meters high above the sea, San Vito Chietino is a charming town in the heart of the Costa Trabocchi, defined by Gabriele D'Annunzio "the country of the broom." The Belvedere Marconi, for the inhabitants of the "Hill", can certainly be considered one of the most beautiful terraces on the Adriatic. The place is quiet and ideal for a vacation getaway, the clear water and good food. The beaches are within a few minutes. There are numerous restaurants within reach of every pocket, and a unique experience is to eat fresh fish on the 'overflow'. The culinary culture of the place is renowned, as well as the production of oil and wine. The ancient city of Lanciano is only minutes away by car or train, as well as the vibrant city of Pescara. For hiking enthusiasts, the Maiella National Park is only 30 minutes by car.
