The apartment, recently renovated, has a separate entrance and is located in the heart of the town overlooking the Trabocchi Coast. E 'on several levels: the dining room / kitchen is on the ground floor; a master bedroom with bathroom is situated on a slightly higher level (4 steps in altitude) and is equipped with a beautiful panoramic terrace; the second bedroom, also with bathroom, is instead placed in the lower level with access to the terrace and the garden. All main services (pharmacy, supermarket, bar, pizzeria and a delicious pastry) are nearby. Due to its location the house enjoys a unique panorama that sweeps from the Maiella mountains to the Adriatic Sea, through the Gran Sasso in Italy. A large terrace / garden at the back (for a total of about 100 square meters), with gazebo for meals, sun loungers, outdoor kitchen and barbecue will allow you to live in the open air on your vacation, enjoying breathtaking sunsets. The sandy beach of Marina, just 2 km away, can be reached with both the urban service (the stop is 20 meters from the front door) is a pleasant walk. Beaches and coves with crystal clear sea, can be reached just as easily.
The apartment and views are just as shown in the pictures. San Vito Chietino is the quiet upper town with a few shops, bars, grocery and pizza place, which is next to the house. There are more restaurants in the marina down by the sea. We explored many Abruzzo towns and villages using both the A14 and S16. Adele and Carlo were great. They even picked up on my birthday, from my passport, and brought by a very nice selection of small cupcakes. We could not have wanted any more.
We found this apartment perfect for our needs. It was spacious and very comfortable. The balcony and patio area was like an extra room and there was plenty of shade in very warm weather. Carlo and Adele could not have been more helpful. We would love to return!
This apartment and the hosts were absolutely fantastic. Exactly what was required.
The bedrooms and the extra supplies that were necessary - towels, bedding, etc - were perfect. There was an exact rundown of the elaborate recycling protocol (which, I didn't manage to follow) However, our hosts Carlo and Adele, assured us that this was not a problem
It was an ideal for location for what we went to Italy to do - that was to visit a War Cemetery (well, that, and to eat ice-cream!). The parking was fine, if a little busy, but we were never left with nowhere to park.
The village in which the apartment is situated is charming and has everything one might need.
One note I would add is that we arrived very late at night and our hosts were very clear as to how to get into the apartment However, there was no where opened, so we were unable to get a cup of tea or coffee. Might I suggest that, should this be the case in future, quests might appreciate a wee teabag, or some milk waiting. I realise that this is a big ask, but I am sure that carlo and Adele would be appreciative of this suggestion?
And, to Carlo and Adele - as I said, we arrived late so they were unable to greet us - it was well after midnight; I also said that they left us very clear instructions as to how to get inside - so all was ideal. Further they came to greet us the next evening and what a lovely warm, happy couple they were - great humour and so welcoming. The also met us at our departure, to bid us farewell - it was just so lovely.
Thank you and, if you visit this apartment, you will be very, very lucky indeed.
All the positives in other reviews echo our reaction to this charming spot. All arrangements were easy because of Carlo's English and efficiency - and we were graciously welcomed by both Adele and Carlo. As described in their listing, the apartment is spacious, very well-equipped, clean, cheerful and has a great view and outdoor areas. Carlo and Adele made every extra effort to make us comfortable -- including great tips for the area. Having a car is an important plus for exploring the area.
This property was super easy to find, which was great as we arrived 10.30 at night. On arrival Adele had provided us with a 'snack' which was 4 courses of beautiful local Italian fare and some pastries from the local cake shop. Absolutely superb, and the holiday continued in the same vein. Carlo and Adele could not have been more accommodating hosts, and their property could not have been better. The view from the balcony and garden are really as magnificent as they appear in the photos, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen immaculate - the kitchen has everything you would ever need, including a dishwasher. The walk to the marina is a little challenging on the return, but all the better to burn off some of the calories consumed in the restaurants there. This is a really pretty coastal town which we would love to return to for our next holiday. When we do it will certainly be to this apartment. Thank you to Carlo and Adele for making our holiday very memorable.
We spent a great vacation in this place. The location and the view from the terrace are fantastic, the flat is equipped with everything and more you need, the owners are extremely nice and always at disposal if needed, the village is really cute and the sea is clean. 5 stars from us !
From its 120 meters high above the sea, San Vito Chietino is a charming town in the heart of the Costa Trabocchi, defined by Gabriele D'Annunzio "the country of the broom." The Belvedere Marconi, for the inhabitants of the "Hill", can certainly be considered one of the most beautiful terraces on the Adriatic. The place is quiet and ideal for a vacation getaway, the clear water and good food. The beaches are within a few minutes. There are numerous restaurants within reach of every pocket, and a unique experience is to eat fresh fish on the 'overflow'. The culinary culture of the place is renowned, as well as the production of oil and wine. The ancient city of Lanciano is only minutes away by car or train, as well as the vibrant city of Pescara. For hiking enthusiasts, the Maiella National Park is only 30 minutes by car.
