I have been a resident of Chandler since 1994. I am originally from Chicago. I am a mortgage loan officer and part time dog trainer and enjoy spending time in the White Mountains with my 4 dogs.
Lisa Wentzloff purchased this cabin in 2005
I purchased the cabin there because I spend alot of time there and it is so peaceful.
The beautiful views of the forest and the quiet serenity. The close proximity to all the great shopping and restaurants and fishing lakes.
Overall our stay at this property was wonderful. The house has plenty of space and was perfect for our dogs as well. The large fenced in yard gave them ample space to roam around and enjoy the cool afternoon breeze. Late afternoons and evenings on the large deck was the best part of the trip. It was so peaceful! Other positives included the nearby hiking trails, comfortable bed downstairs, and location to stores and restaurants. The only reason we didn't give it 5-stars, which had nothing to do with the owner, was the previous occupants/renters did not take the garbage out and it left a strong odor coming from the cans the entire week. Otherwise, this is a great rental for couples, small families, and those with pets. We would definitely return.
Cute cabin in the woods. Good fencing for our 4 dogs. We used the gas grill to cook steaks on and they came out great.Close to a wonderful hiking trail. I was searching for the just right bed, not to high, small hard or soft. The stairs up to the loft proved to be too slick and one of our older dogs ended up sliding down the stairs, pretty scary for her and us, she was sore but OK. There are a lot of throw pillows and cute little knickknacks, that we needed to clear off for more space.
While the weather was beautiful, I feel that the cabin was very over sold. First thing that I noticed was the broken doors! There were also several slats missing from the verticle blinds. The first morning shower found me having to unclog the drain after standing in water while showering. To say the least it was gross!
The website shows a lake!! There was only other cabins. We had to make sure to wear shoes on the front porch at all times due to the very poor condition of the wood ( splinters galore)! The cabin itself is in need of a professional cleaning. There were droppings in the cabinets and cobwebs everywhere.
This could be a beautiful cabin with a little TLC. I would not recommend or re- rent knowing its condition. I will pay extra and rent on an actual lake!
Very comfy and quiet place. Nice view and forest is literally steps away. Lake down a mile, little stream up a way that leads to a beautiful view. Also opposite of that a nice trail for a hike. Owner responds fast, courteous and easy to book with. Will definitely be coming back.
We had a great time on during our weekend stay! The location is right next to a path leading to a Rim trail, which was beautiful. The fenced in yard was a huge hit with our two pups, and we enjoyed having a comfortable living room and cable TV when we just wanted to relax.
The only challenge was that the king bed is upstairs (two other great bedrooms downstairs, but with smaller beds), and our pups struggled with the stairs, and the landing doesn't have much protection from them walking over the edge (our dogs aren't the brightest bulbs).
The cabin is great, with plenty of shopping and dining nearby. We really enjoyed Salt, a restaurant just up the road.
This was our second experience at this cabin. Perfect location, quiet, relaxing, and the dogs loved the fenced yard.
Definitely recommend this property.
Owner is very easy to work with.
