Nice cabin and location. Quiet with lots of trees and big fenced in yard for the dogs. Lisa was very helpful and responded immediately to any questions. Will book with her again!

Cozy little retreat, but minutes away from necessities!

  • 4 of 5

Loved the opportunity to stay here for the weekend. The cabin was charming and had a lot of amenities included, making it easier on us. The home was nestled back in a neighborhood surrounded by trees but luckily it was up the street from a Walmart which came in very handy! The dogs loved being able to run around the grounds and I felt better knowing they were fenced in. The only thing I would say is I wish the space under the house was a little blocked off, my dogs were very interested to go under there and it made me nervous with what bugs or critters could be under there but luckily I had zero issue! The house could use a little updating and TLC but overall it just added to the “rustic” feel. We were a quick drive from a nice hiking trail, which was convenient. I would certainly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a small friend or family gathering in the woods but not totally roughing it...it’s nice to have access to plumbing, beds, and a superstore and being able to bring my pups was great!!

Perfect Trail Get Away

  • 5 of 5

Would I stay here again, YES! Home was very centrally located, right on the border of Show Low/PineTop Lakes. Walking and wheel in' trails right out side the front door. Home was completely fenced, and the two mutts loved every second.

great historic cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This rental was a cabin moved from Hawley Lake when the hundred year leases expired with the Apache Tribe. It was taken apart, moved to Lakeside and restructured. There are really cool little hidden cabinets that you have to look for in the knotty pine interior. The owner, Lisa, welcomed my pups to the property, saying they needed a vacation too. The place catered to dogs with a doggie door and secure property as well as dog dishes and baby gates to keep them where we wanted them. Rim Road a half block away was a great surprise. We wanted to hike and the Mogollon Rim trail was a couple hundred yards from the front door. Fabulous views and great hiking trails. We saw that Rim Road was ATV friendly, encountering a few ATVs as we hiked. Steaks on the grill for dinner with some romantic Christmas lights and our stay could not have been better!!!! We will be back for some awesome Winter skiing - Sunrise Park Ski Resort is a forty minute drive from here - Hondah Casino for some great dining, dancing and gaming - This destination has it all!

Good Location

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is well located off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood but conveniently close to shopping and restaurants. It's close to a nice hiking trail, and you can gain access to the trail from a path at the end of the road. It's a bit of a walk to the trail but worth it. We enjoyed having the fenced yard for our two dogs. Here's a tip. Our 28 lb. Rat Terrier dog was able to squeeze through the space between the gates until we started fastening the chain snugly about 8" from the bottom. If you have an smaller dog, try putting the side of the trash can next to the gate to block the opening. We had a plumbing problem, but Lisa promptly sent a plumber out to deal with it, and we appreciated that. The cabin could use a little sprucing up, but the beds were comfortable. The deck and porch are nice places to hang out. WiFi is available.
