This house is amazing! You cannot go wrong with this location, and Jay is a great resource.
We stayed here for a week in late September. We're already planning another trip back and hope we can stay here again. The place is perfect in every way. It's spotlessly clean (thanks to a great housekeeper), it's comfortable, and convenient. We walked to town easily right on the beach, and watched the sunrise every morning. This was our first time visiting Loreto and we both felt very lucky to have found this place because, along with this stunning home, you get Jay too. He knows everything about what to do and how to do it, and is happy to share his wealth of knowledge. He was a godsend. It doesn't hurt that everyone in Loreto knows him too; if you need reservations, he knows who to call. I'd like to keep this gem of a vacation spot a secret, but that wouldn't be fair, so I'll just say you won't be disappointed. You'll leave as we did- wanting more. More Loreto, more Jay, more perfect house. Lucky you and lucky us!
Great beach front property with amazing view of the sea. Confortable, spacious and clean.
We had a three-day stay during pretty hot summer days and it was just incredible. The beach in front of the house is so inviting, tranquile and soothing that we spent hours in the water. Isla Coronado is a magical place that reminds me of my days in the Caribbean. The food in town is very good and there are restaurants that would qualify as outstanding such as La Picazón.
Beautiful home and a perfect location.
We spent a week looking out at this incredible view and never tired of it. The house is set on a lot just steps from the water, with kayaks and paddle boards on site. Waking up everymorning to a paddle board workout, then a swim was a perfect start to the day. We also dove for clams right out in front. The house had all the amenities that one could ask for, including daily maid service. We will be back!
A Perfect Stay
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Loreto and Jay's place was perfect. Jay was very helpful and provided all the information we needed. His beachfront property is one of the nicest along that stretch. We'd definitely stay there again.
Amazing beach front bungalow!
The property manager Jay was excellent! Went over the house with us upon arrival but more importantly told us all his favorite restaurants in loreto. He was bang on!
If ever we had an issue a quick email to him and it was fixed or resolved immediately.
This house could be the best location in all of loreto.
So Much To Love
So much to love about this property, and the attention that Jay gives to guests. This is an immaculate property, well maintained and the layout is perfect for a family or multiple guests. It was easy to feel right at home on the back deck, looking out at the beautiful scenery. Well equipped and very clean kitchen facilities and daily maid service made the stay easy. Jay was welcoming, even bringing us a bottle of wine to enjoy and he went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was perfect, arranging fishing / snorkeling and tours - as well as just answering general questions. Kayaks and paddle boards on site made playing in the water easy! Can't wait to stay again!
Loreto is located on the east coast of the Baja California Peninsula, at 26º00’46” N 111º20’36” W. It is bordered on the east by the Gulf of California, on the west by the Transpeninsular Highway, and on the south by the Arroyo Loreto, a dry creek bed that only fills with water after a heavy rainfall. The city is built on relatively flat land with an average elevation is 10 meters (33 ft) above sea level. “La Giganta” Mountain Range (“Sierra de la Giganta”) lies to the west, extending along the center of the state of Baja California Sur, parallel to the gulf coast.
The city is a tourist resort, catering mostly to U.S. travelers, with daily flights from the U.S. state of California to Loreto International Airport. Many American tourists enjoy fishing in “pangas” for “dorado” (Mahi-mahi or Dolphin Fish). Local restaurants will willingly prepare the daily catch of the tourists. Loreto has a museum that coexists alongside the historic, but still active, parish. Loreto has active sister city relationships with the California cities of Hermosa Beach, Cerritos, and Ventura.
