Guestbook comments from the owner

Great location for a girls getaway weekend. Great food and music here in Asheville – who new?? The fall colors were at their peak and Biltmore was so majestic bursting with fall colors. We took a horse back ride and it was so relaxing and invigorating. Chimney Rock hike, apple cider, apple turnovers and yes, even just plain old apples really made it a fall worth remembering.

Great place and location

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay in Asheville and this was a perfect home base for us. The property is very clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. We didn’t need a lot of contact with the managers but Al was very accommodating when we did. Good proximity to downtown, which is walkable. Across the street is the City Bakery which was great in the morning for coffee and breakfast. Also highly recommend Bone and Broth restaurant, also right across the street. We left bed Asheville and will be back. Thanks.

Great little apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this apartment for three nights -- two couples and a baby. It was very clean and comfortable, great beds, lovely kitchen. Convenient location - right on a major street but we were not at all bothered by noise. Close to downtown, easy drive to Biltmore and other attractions. It is nicely stocked with dishes, towels, linens, etc. - everything you need except bath soap, water pressure and wireless internet!

I would definitely recommend this apartment as a fairly economical alternative to downtown hotels, especially if two couples can share expenses. There are no "views" like you would find in a mountain cabin ... we wanted convenience, economy and a place to be with our family and this fit the bill perfectly. There is only one bathroom and the shower isn't great. But these were pretty minor inconveniences.

We loved Magnolia's for dinner. We were in town for a wedding so didn't eat out much other than that, but did enjoy the Corner Kitchen in Biltmore Village for lunch and Carmelo's (I think) for Sunday brunch.

You do have to climb some fairly steep stairs to go in and out, so not for those with disabilities. Definitely need a car. I don't know the policy on pets.

Owner's Response: We love comments from our guests and appreciate when folks take the time to share their experience with others. Currently we offer wired hi-speed internet access because the wireless was problematic. Thanks for the heads up on the water pressure, this is the first we've heard of the issue so we'll check it out right away. Well behaved pets are very welcome. We strive to provide clean, comfortable, fun accomodations for our guests and are pleased to offer alternative lodging for vistors to downtown Asheville conveniently located to all the mountains have to offer.

Great spot right by downtown Asheville with great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

This nice spot had everything we needed from location to accommodations! The host went above and beyond when all heck broke loose as Asheville Airport experienced total cancellation of flights on New Year's Eve. With no hotels available due to flight cancellations and the holiday our host rapidly responded to our email late New Year's Eve evening and allowed us to extend our stay an additional evening.

We will definitely be choosing this VRBO during our next getaway to Asheville, North Carolina.

Thank you!

Great location and incredibly convenient

  • 4 of 5

This property is in a great location for any and all Asheville attractions. The owners make the whole process easy-- we especially loved the key code access. The kitchen is up to date and well equipped for a weekend stay. The beds are not terribly comfortable, but again, work perfectly well for a weekend stay. The back porch is surprisingly peaceful and quiet despite being on a main road. The ONLY downside we found is that there is no full length mirror, which I already knew based on earlier reviews. This is by no means a deal breaker, just a little inconvenient if you're there for an event (our group was attending a wedding). We really enjoyed our stay here and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy downtown Asheville for a reasonable price. The best part, of course, is that it's pet friendly!
