Spacious 2 bed penthouse, stunning views over Pyla mountains from large terrace

Often described as "home from home" this is a modern & spacious 2 bedroom penthouse apartment, with stunning views towards Pyla Mountains and the sea from the large 76m2 open terrace. It is the superb outdoor space which is one of the main attractions of this property. The large private terrace area offers so much, from soaking up the sun by day to alfresco dining in the evening,whilst enjoying the glorious views of the sun setting over Pyla.

A relaxing and peaceful haven with stunning views. This penthouse apartment has been furnished to the highest standard with all modern conveniences.

The kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, kettle,dishwasher, smoothie maker,fridge freezer and microwave and a really good selection of cooking utensils and dishes.

There is a dining table which will seat 6 guests.

There are 2 bedrooms, a master bedroom with a king size bed and it's own balcony and the second bedroom which has 2 single beds. A travel cot is available on request.There are large fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms and there is ample space. Both rooms have a mirror in the wardrobes and also bedside cabinets.

In the front room is a 3 seater, 2 seater and a 2 seater sofa bed as well which will sleep another 2 people. ( sleeps 6 in all)

The apartment has Wi-Fi available.There is a DVD player and a selection of DVD's and a 40 inch television with satellite channels for your use.

For your convenience there is also a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board,a hair drier is also available

Each let includes the linen needed and a set of towels, so you will need to bring your own beach towels.

There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and front room and in addition there are also 2 floor standing fans available.

The large private terrace with magnificent views is unique and can be enjoyed by day relaxing and soaking up the sun or by night with outdoor dining or a barbecue. This adds to the large open plan living space inside as well and ensures maximum comfort for all guests. Outside we have a large oval glass table and 6 chairs, these are great for just sitting and relaxing or indeed enjoying a meal or a drink outside on the terrace. There is also a parasol and sun loungers for you to relax and soak up the sun. A further 2 balconies with seating are available for you to enjoy.

The apartment is set within a peaceful and secure complex, that overlooks open countryside and is only a 15 / 20 minute walk to the sandy Blue Flag beach . You can access the beach via a pathway from the apartment which goes underneath the highway. A short walk away is the traditional village of Pyla where you will find a variety of shops and tavernas. The complex offers an outdoor pool and a children's pool. There is also an indoor heated pool, gymnasium and sauna, and these are all designed to help create a real relaxing holiday and enable you to enjoy this apartment all year round. Also on the complex is a children's playground for them to enjoy. The cosmopolitan town of Larnaca with it's many beaches, restaurants and shops is only a 10 minute drive and it is also home to a new marina. This apartment is suitable for couples and families who want spacious and high end accommodation away from the busier resorts. Oceania Bay is an ideal base for touring the island and the excellent road connections mean within half an hour you can be on the golden beaches of Nissi or visiting the capital of Nicosia. Also within easy reach are Protaras and Limassol.

About Helen Chaloner

Myself and Doug have 2 children, Molly who is 15 and Ben who is 9 and they both really enjoy our holidays to Cyprus. They are quite happy spending days in the pool or playing on the beach. We spent a large number of years working for ourself and getting time off for holidays was often difficult. We really wanted somewhere that we could get to fairly quickly and easily and at the same time we wanted a certain standard of holiday, in terms of accommodation and area. We feel that we have this now as the area has some fantastic restaurants, beaches and other attractions and yet we have all the comforts from home in our apartment. The complex itself it peaceful and safe for children and has an adult and children’s pool.

We live in Essex not too far from Stansted so getting to Cyprus is not too much of a problem.

Why Helen Chaloner chose Larnaca region

We chose this property as we wanted all the benefits and attractions that Cyprus has to offer and yet we did not want to be in a busy resort. We have been visiting Cyprus now for a number of years and always really enjoyed our time spent there.

We like the fact that we can access pretty much anywhere on the Island relatively easily, so Pyla serves as an ideal base. There is a real village feel to Pyla and all the locals are very friendly here as well.

We feel that the property has a lot to offer all different people and hope that guests enjoy their stay as much as we do.

What makes this apartment unique

The reason we chose this property was due to the really large (76m2) terrace. This adds another room to the property due to it's size and versatility. A small part of the terrace is also covered.

To sit on the terrace soaking up the sun with stunning views over the Pyla mountains is sheer bliss and so very relaxing. It is really the fantastic use of outdoor space that gives this apartment the edge.

It is an area that can be enjoyed day or night in terms of relaxing, dining or just taking in the sun and views.

Amazing family holiday.

Well what can I a family of five and not been on holiday for 12 years this was just what we needed. From the moment I booked I had fantastic communication from owner and lots of information. We have a young autistic daughter and feeling at home is very important to her and this is what this apartment offered us with lots of indoor and outdoor space...there is nothing I could of asked for everything was there. We will definitely be back.

Christmas in Cyprus

The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The outside terrace is large and private with views across countryside. The owner was extremely helpful during the whole process along with the manager in Cyprus.

Excellent location for visiting the eastern side of the island, North and South. Apartment well maintained, spotless.

Home from home.

Owner/manager very helpful, nice people.

Would recommend this property highly. This was our second visit to this apartment and we will be back.

Pylion restaurant nearby for fish loving people.Veranda restaurant just past the London pub for your steak and good food.

London pub for your sport and Andreas for good service.

1900 restaurant in Larnaca.

Beach close by. Good bus service.

Lovely views

From the word "go "Helen was in communication and extremely helpful. Apartment was easy to find with the instructions supplied. George was in contact too, thank you. Weather was excellent the full two weeks. You definitely need a car. Unfortunately for us, there was nowhere to walk of an evening. Pyla doesn't have a lot to do in the village . We only went the night we arrived for something to eat, very limited. Would recommend Oroklini, lovely village. Plenty of supermarkets, bakeries etc and lovely to walk around.

Larnaca is a 20minute drive. We love the seafront there but you definitely need that car! Not impressed with the beaches locally. Very stoney and not that clean.Nicosia takes around 45mins. Busy city and trip over into the Turkish area wasn't worth the trip.

We loved sitting on the spacious terrace for breakfast and in the evening at sunset. During the day, if we were in ,it was just so peaceful. Unfortunately it seems the University has purchased a lot of apartments on the complex for students and staff and we were disturbed a lot at night with noise ,and early morning. Particularly the apartment below. This was disappointing as because of the description , we thought we would have the restful holiday we needed. It improved slightly after we complained. The only person we spoke to, a lady who lived there, said it was lovely when the University was on holiday and the students left. We didn't use the pool area as there were always students around and we didn't think the area was that clean. We found beer cans around one morning.

The apartment although nice, spacious etc ,wasn't what we would describe as luxurious. English tv is basic .The patio furniture is very comfortable , which was great as we stayed out there a lot. Must be lovely in summer when the nights stay light longer.

Fantastic trip

From start to finish the whole trip was fantastic.

The booking proces, the support from Helen the property owner, the quality of the property and the local support from George were all amazing.

The apartment was spotless and had everything you needed a tune home from home. The site and pool was was also very clean and although remote was perfect fora quiet holiday. That said all the main resorts and towns are only a short distance away.

We had a fantastic holiday made all the better by staying at this property. I wound definitely recommend this property and would hope to return sometime soon.

Highly Recommend

Just returned from a wonderful trip. The apt.was spacious, clean and well equipped. Wifi was very efficient. Helen, the owner was very easy to work with and she responded quickly to emails. I needed a blender and requested one and the next day we were enjoying our delicious smoothies.....thanks Helen ! The apt. was easily accessible to everything but you definitely need a car to enjoy the surrounding region. Larnaca airport is only 20 minutes away.

George, the caretaker, checked in on us often to make sure our needs were met. Would definitely recommend this apt.

Pyla is a beautiful village located in the Larnaca Region which is in the Eastern part of Cyprus. Pyla is one of only 2 villages that have a mixed population of Greeks & Turks that live alongside each other in total harmony.

A few minutes away are the lovely Cyprus Tourist Organisation Blue Flag Beaches of Pyla. Ten minutes away are also other blue flag beaches in Larnaca. With a car you can also access the golden beaches of Nissi in Ayia Napa or the famous Fig Tree Bay in Protaras. All beaches have plenty of recliners and umbrellas available for hire. A number of beaches also offer various water sport activity and equipment for hire.

The warm and dry Mediterranean climate provides the perfect opportunity for exploring the stunning coastlines around the island.

Larnaca is a bustling city by day and night. It is excellent for shopping and you can purchase just about anything here. They have M & S and a Debenhams as well as designer boutiques. By the marina and famous Mackenzie beach is a palm tree lined promenade which is full of open air bars and cafes and restaurants, this is perfect for an evening stroll. There is a busy night life in this area as well. You can also arrange boat trips from here during the day and some evenings.

Larnaca also have areas of historical interest from Ancient Kitkiouro, a Neolithic settlement, salt lake & a Hala Sultan Tekke.

Ten pin bowling and a water park are among some of the attractions of nearby Ayia Napa. This is also a great area for shopping.

Skiing is available in the Troodos Mountains during January & February and equipment can be hired as well.

The airport of Larnaca is a straight run of about 15/20 minutes. Cars can be hired from the airport or locally in Pyla. The airport is serviced by Cyprus airways, easy jet, monarch & Thomson fly. Ryanair are now flying into Paphos which is about 1.5 hours drive away. It is recommended for a car hire during your stay. You can hire a car or bike locally or indeed quad bikes.

Pyla village is about a ten minute walk. The Beach is five minutes in the car or a 15 minute walk. Larnaca is 15 minutes by car. Ayia Napa and Protaras around 20 /25 minutes by car.

Pyla does have a small supermarket and a bakery. Oroklini which is a 5 minute drive has a good range of shops including 24 hours bakeries which are fantastic, fish tavern selling fresh fish, good supermarket, banks, take away and cafes.

Pyla is also home to some 4 & 5 star hotels, where for a set price you can utilise the excellent facilities for the day.

There are a number of excellent local restaurants which serve a variety of menus including traditional Cypriot specialities.
