The apartment is New and fresh on the second floor with 2 bedrooms with big high quality double beds, bedding and towels provided. A sofa bed in the living room, and also a crib if required. Free WIFI and a privat parking space in the basement. In the living room there is a smart 50' tv, music system with a dock staytion, cd player and dining table seeting 8 people. The kitchen has dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge with freezer, coffee-maker and a toaster among other things. The bathroom has a waterfall shower, hairdryer and heeting in the floor, towels provided. The laundry room contains
washer, a dryer and iron with ironing board. Faced south
is the balcony with a table and chairs. In the basement there is a
private parking space close to the elevator entrance.
I am born and raised in Iceland, but living in Ålesund Norway for the last 20 years. My husband to be; Rolf-Magne Asbjørnsen is Norwegien. We have between us 6 children. I run to stores in Ålesund biggest moll. Rolf-Magne runns to high profiled fast food restaurants in Ålesund.

We fell in love with the apartment the first time we saw it. We were looking for a place to stay when frequently wisiting my homeland. The appartment felt like a haven in otherwise busy down town Reykjavik. The feeling of wood flooring agenst the cleen white concreet walls, spacius livingroom, big vindows and a south facing balkony. Made it a perfect choise.
My family of 5 rented this apartment for 7 nights over New Years. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the owners mother and she had setup a Christmas tree which pleasantly surprised my daughters. The apartment was large, nicely furnished, and comfortable for all of us. We were immediately at home. The apartment is located close to most of the action in Reykjavic including the sea, restaurants, bars, museums, and other attractions. We walked to most everything in town from there. We had a rental car and the underground parking was a blessing allowing us to load and unload out of the rain and snow. When we took day trips we were able to quickly get on the highway for our journey. All in all, a perfect apartment in a perfect location !!! We would, without question, rent again. I can't think of a better place to spend a New Years.
We were warmly met and introduced to our home away from home upon arrival. The apartment was immaculate and well appointed. Sigrun had even decorated a Christmas tree for us.
The location was perfect. Shopping, restaurants, grocery store, everything one would need was a short walk away.
It was warm and cozy for the cold and blustery weather that we had for our December stay.
The garage for parking was so appreciated. It eliminated the need to search for parking and you didn't even need a coat to get to and from your car.
I highly, highly recommended this lovely apartment.

Visited Iceland May/2015 and loved our stay here! With all the amenities of home and in a great location, you don't even need to rent a car if staying in Reykjavik.

We stayed at the Lindargata appartment for 16 nights and could not have been more pleased by our choice. We arrived with a very early flight and were warmly welcomed by the owner’s mother. We very much appreciated that she was able to meet us at the appartment early in the morning. Such an early check-in would probably not have been possible at a hotel.
The appartment is modern, very clean and even better equiped than shown on the pictures. The wardrobes in the two bedrooms provide a lot of storage with numerous shelves, drawers and room for hangers. Extra pillows, blankets, bedlinen, duvets, and even peignoirs are provided. There is also a large wardrobe in the entrance hall, which is useful for storing shoes and coats. The kitchen is also very well equiped.
The location of the Lindargata appartment is ideal, in our opinion. It is within walkable distance to Harpa, the Old harbour, downtown, and Laugavegur street. A nice interior pool with exterior hot pots (Sundhöll Reykjavikur) is less than 10 min from the appartment, and if one is willing to walk a bit longer, other very nice exterior pools can be found (e.g., Vesturbæjarlaug at less than 30 min from the appt). The appartment is also about 2 min away from a long (more than 4 km) paved shore walk, a very nice place to take a walk or for running. The appartment is also very well located if you want to use a car to go out of town because it is only a few minutes away from route 41, a main route that can be used to reach the airport and any other destinations, without having to drive through downtown streets.
Everything went very well regarding reservation, payment, and communications with the owner and her mother.

We had a 5 night stay at this apartment and was very impressed with the appearance and location. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained, the kitchen was well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. The shower was really exceptional and the heated floor in the bathroom was a real treat. The apartment was in a fantastic location for sightseeing around the city. Just a few minutes walk from Sun Voyager and restaurants, bars, and shops, yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
The owners responded particularly well to our queries and were particularly helpful during our stay.
We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a stay in Reykjavik.

The apartment is located between the main street, Laugaveg and the sea with only 2 min walk to the shopping street. A rang of restaurants, pub's and night clubs are in short walking distance from the apartment. Although in centre of events the apartment in a quiet street.
In addition to the rental rates there is a cleaning charge of € 100,- at the end of the stay.
We would ask for a 50 % payment up front, with the balance payable at latest 2 days before arrival.
