The apartment is cool in summer and warm in winter (we don't charge for central heating). It is perfect for 2 adults (sorry no animals, we have a jealous cat). It is situated in a normally quiet residential area 5 minutes from the village centre of Rodilhan. The apartment (56 sq m.) consists of a spacious double bedroom, a small sitting/dining room (with TV, DVD & CD & radio), a bathroom (with shower, basin, toilet and washing machine) and a fully equipped kitchen. There is ample on-road parking in a wide tree-lined street. The village of Rodilhan is situated within the 'Agglo de Nimes', an area which rubs shoulders with Provence and the Camargue. Within a 5 minute walk from the apartment there are 2 bakers, a small grocers, a newsagents, a chemist and a pizza bar. The location is ideal for visits to Provence and the Camargue as well as the historical cities of Nîmes, Avignon, Arles and Orange. There are 5 UNESCO World Heritage sites within easy reach of the apartment by car. We are 20 minutes from the Pont du Gard; 30 minutes from Arles and Orange; 40 minutes from Avignon and 45 minutes from the Camargue coast.

Why Meg & Neil Shephard chose Nimes

We had both always lived in towns and although driving 5km for your breakfast baguette is a novelty when on holiday, we didn't think living in a remote place was for us. We chose a typical and lively French village (not one full of 2nd homes and dead in winter) which is close to a city for cinema, theatre and festivals.

We have made lots of French friends and our French has improved!
