Coín Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

Gorgeous 100 Year Old Typical Andalucian Country Estate.

Rambling, rustic, beautiful Andalucian-style finca is set in 7 acres of tranquil countryside. The house is surrounded by huge, shady trees and grapevines which are cooling during hot summer. The interior has quarry tiles, thick walls and whitewashed walls, heavy beams which adds to this freshness. Huge lawn area and pool, are surrounded by a large wall for ultimate security and privacy. This can be viewed from the shade of a spreading walnut tree where the outdoor dining area is located. Very close by is the big brick barbecue.

After a hard day in the sun and shade the Roman-style jacuzzi seats 10 comfortably with bar, lounging area and fireplace.

There are 4 bar/restaurants in walking distance (10 mins) or 10 mins drive to the town which has good supermarkets and a variety of restaurants.

Marbella or Fuengirola bright lights are 25 minutes on excellent roads.

Seen from the house is a mountainous pine forest ideal for walking or horse riding.

About Rosemary Gordon-Davis

John, now sadly deceased, was a lawyer who worked in Rhodesia and Hong Kong before becoming a full-time novelist. Of his 16 books a number have been best-sellers.

Australian Rosemary joined him at the finca 1976 and married in 1978 in Hong Kong where they started sailing their 43¨ ketch around the world for many years.

John needed a European base with access to his publishers in UK and New York, in the sunshine.

His requirement was his dream farm with a river running through it.

The Andalucian-style architecture of the finca was the icing.

Living a secluded, tranquil life in the Spanish countryside, whilst having all the facilities of the Costa bright lights when necessary. Plus the rich Spanish historical regions nearby.

Rural retreat with rustic charm

Arriving at the finca, down the unmade road, we were greeted with what can only be described as an idyllic property. No wonder it is advertised as a ‘tranquil rural retreat’, it is that and much more.

We did a little sight-seeing but spent far more time in and around the beautiful pool. The property had a rustic charm into which we settled and relaxed.

The owner was easy to contact and extremely friendly. All in all, one of our best holidays.

Authentic and enchanting home

My self and a group of friends are just back from a brilliant week at Finca la Palmera. We knew from the photos that the place looked great, but when we arrived we were delighted to find the house even nicer than we had hoped for!

I was so excited and delighted when we pulled up to park in the court yard, to catch a glimpse through the grape laden vines of what was to come; a really authentic feeling spanish home, not just some new build house. The trees around the house were laden down with fruit, we ate, figs, grapes and walnuts that we collected from the garden! The inside of the house was just beautiful, really well equipped and homey feeling. We enjoyed several evenings in the jacuzzi bar area when it got too cool to sit outside anymore. The bedrooms were all beautiful and everywhere in the house was spotlessly clean.

We were a group of 6, and we easily could have had another 2 adults and the house would still have been spacious. There are loads of corners to be by your self for a while if you want to.

Rural Spain inland from the Costa del Sol offers tranquillity away from the tourist haunts, but only 25 minutes drive away. It is also cheaper than the coast.

The town centre with variety of bars/restaurants and supermarkets, plus all commerce is 10 minutes from the finca.
