The Perfect Location for all groups!
This is a great house to stay in. It is close to the beach, town and the park. The space is big enough so that the kids are playing amongst themselves in the basement. Bill is very responsive, had a situation with the microwave and he had it fixed within two days, even bringing us loaner while will waited. One draw back and we have mentioned it to Bill for next year, is the bedroom off from the kitchen needs an air condition unit in. The family that sleeps in that room often complains that it is hot. I am sure Bill will take care of that for next year. We look forward to working with and staying in Bill's houses or other houses next year. He has seen our groups kids (10) group up every year. We plan on needing two houses next year.
This is a follow-up to my previous review.
After reading the above reveiw regarding our deposit, the owner contacted us and apologized profusely. He stated that he had relied on someone else to handle the responsibility of returning the deposit and did not know they had not done so. He returned the deposit to us that week. As a result, we will likely be renting from him again next summer.
We stayed here in 2010 (Calendar won't allow the date). The house was very well maintained, and the owner pleasant. However, he never returned our deposit or our phone calls or emails regarding said deposit.
The home overlooks Hartford Park, a quiet residential park in the heart of the historic Copeland District. Restaurants nearby will satisfy everyone's tastes.
