About Steve Sasman

I started on this journey in 2006 with the purchase of my own Cabin in Flagstaff. I turned it into a vacation rental and soon realized I loved the real estate and hospitality business rolled into one. I now manage my own 3Br Cabin as well as a handful of others in Flagstaff, Williams and Scottsdale.

Steve Sasman purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Steve Sasman chose Williams

While I'm selective about which properties I will manage or own, I couldn't pass up this amazing property. It's on 20 secluded acres with some of the prettiest views of Mt. Humphrey's anywhere. It's a true log cabin experience with a ranch and horse corrals to boot.

What makes this cabin unique

Being just 50 miles S. of the Grand Canyon and 30 miles west of Flagstaff puts this property in a prime location to explore all of Northern Arizona. The town of Williams is a classic stop on Route 66 with lots of character. Local attractions within 10 miles of the Cabin include Bearizona - a drive through zoo, a go cart racing track, a Deer Farm, and plenty of restaurants.

All that said, you may never want to leave the property! It's the perfect place to create memories for large families who want to get away from the normal hustle and bustle!

Spacious cabin excellent for large family of 10

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed the views and good location to buzz up to Grand Canyon and back to Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona. We also had fun in Williams for an evening. Owner checked in on us to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything. Lot of competition in the bags tournament fun for the whole family.

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Our family absolutely loved how secluded it was, yet convenient to everything. Plenty of room for large families. Seeing nature at its finest, including Blue Jay's, rabbits, a hawk, and horses and cows at a near by ranch. Found peace sitting on the wrap around porch listening to the thunder and seeing the lightning near by.

Beautiful secluded log cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We stayed 4 nights while exploring the Grand Canyon and Williams, AZ. The place is a 15 minute drive from Williams. Access and arrival instructions are good. We chose to buy our food from Safeway and just grill and so we didn't feel far away from restaurants and stuff. Williams itself has the Bearizona wildlife park which is very good. Our kids enjoyed it. We parked the car and took the Grand Canyon Train to see the canyon and it was excellent!

The cabin is well equipped and has all the amenities of a modern home. The interior is amazing. Beautifully crafted and well thought out layout. Plenty of room for multiple families if you were ever considering that!! Lots of indoor games to keep everybody occupied. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are super comfy too. There is a beautiful Jacuzzi in the master en suite which was however quite dirty once you switched it on suggesting nobody had used it in a while. We cleaned it ourselves and then we could use it. All the bedrooms have a flat screen TV with a big flat-screen in the lounge. There is a basketball hoop outside which we used well and the kids enjoyed it! My only disappointment was that there was no air conditioning. The manager provided some fans to fit into the windows, which were very useful but its still pretty warm without a/c during the day, despite the ceiling fans running, although the temperature is bearable at nighttime as it does cool down a bit. All in all a very pleasant stay!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. It sure sounds like a 5 star review to me! Thanks for all the great comments. As for the AC, yes it's true, there is No AC. However, it's not listed as having AC, so please make sure to check if that's an important requirement in the future. Just so people know, there are very few Cabins in Flagstaff or Williams that even have AC. It's 7,000 feet in altitude and usually about 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix which is why it's just not worth it for owners to install AC for the handful of nights it would be nice to have.

A very enjoyable home

  • 5 of 5

The home was very open and clean with excellent facilities and linens. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything one would need to cook with. Loved the location and environment of the home. The orientation of the house with the great room and the MBR to the east made for glorious dawns coming in the windows. There is interesting wildlife around. We saw pheasants, rabbits, humming birds and, one morning, four young elk bucks playing the the meadow to the east. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. This is a very large and comfortable home ideal for a large family with children. The agent was available and helpful. The Grand Canyon is about an hour away but the scenery along the way makes the trip go quickly. Williams is close and has food store and other restaurants and shops to explore. Very much five star experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.
