About the property

A beautiful family villa in 6 acres with olive groves and breathtaking views.

Casa ai Colli is a restored old farmhouse nestling in the hills with exquisite views over some of the most beautiful countryside in Italy.

It has original stone walls and terracotta floors throughout. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the spacious sitting room contains a sofa bed as well as TV and DVD player. This leads into a large and newly fitted kitchen, with balconies and a magnificent adjoining terrace, which overlook the stunning valley and the medieval hill top towns disappearing into the distance. The property has 6 acres containing olive groves, from which you can enjoy the house olive oil. You can also pick your own figs, plums, peaches and almonds from the wonderful variety of trees surrounding the house. A swimming pool (10m x 5m) is situated below the house and enjoys breathtaking views.

The accommodation sleeps up to 6 people, has full central heating and a log fire so the house can be used all year round.

Peaceful oasis for a relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Casa ai Colli for 5 days and it was amazing! Our three little city kids were in absolute heaven. From picking fresh figs and pears from the trees over the neighbors newborn kittens to picknicks in the nearby knee-deep wildflower meadow they really could enjoy nature.

Already the drive up the tiny hill is exciting: olive trees left and right you drive by the pool first before you arrive at the main building. The house is a beautiful old farmhouse which is lovingly restored up to date without loosing the specific character. The natural stone floor is just beautiful and extends onto the patio.

The patio invited to hour long breakfasts for the parents as the kids jumped into the pool as early as they could. In the evenings we enjoyed the magnificent view over the near little cities while eating the regions typical skewered lamb: 'Arrosticini', absolutely delicious!

Eating out was equally good, we had great pasta in the town center of Montefino, where we also found a great Pizzeria. Our kids are still asking for the 'Pasta like in Italy"...

Greocery shopping was also not far away, two supermercados in Bisenti give you everything you need.

The kids were so in love with the place that they never wanted to leave. Even a trip to the beach at Pescara (which is just half an hour away) did not excite them, they just wanted to stay at the house.

We will definitely come back and are already counting the hours to our next days as Casa ai Colli!

Stippvisite in den Abruzzen

  • 5 of 5

wehenden Fahnen folgen !

We have booked that nice and very quite farmhouse for your short trip to Italy. The meet and greet service was on time and very helpful and supportive.

From the first moment we felt like at home only with much better view!

We enjoyed our stay and recommend the farmhouse to all who want to have a quite and peaceful vacation in a beautiful nature.

Ein ultimatives Urlaubsparadies

  • 5 of 5

Fam. Leeker aus D - 06114 Halle/S.

Enchanting indeed - LOVED the place and will come

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a vacation home somewhere peaceful, quiet and amidst nature with the luxury of having a pool. We got more than we hoped for. On top of having a spacious, comfortable apartment on the first floor of the house we not only had the entire house to ourselves, but also had helpful house keepers (Julia and Colin), welcoming neighbours, magnificent views and wonderful evenings on the outside terrace. Our kids loved the pool and especially the BBQs in the evening. We also tried out the local speciality, arrosticini, which is prepared on a special grill that is also provided. All in all the house is well equipped with all you need to create a perfect stay and the location could not be more perfect! We will definitely return.

Abruzzo is one of the relatively undiscovered regions of Italy - which is why the food and wine is inexpensive and the landscape completely unspoilt. The house is situated in the hills above the charming medieval fort town of Appignano. It is half an hour’s drive from miles of sandy beaches on the Adriatic coast and forty minutes from skiing in the Apennines. We are also just on the edge of Italy’s National Park, which has spectacular views and offers walking, climbing, horse and bike riding. There’s always plenty to do here with a water-park for the whole family close by. Rome is only 2 hours drive away, so you could always take in the sights there before getting away from it all at Casa ai colli.

Well stocked shops are a five minute drive away, and there are lots of friendly restaurants offering great local food and wine at a very reasonable price.
