Great place for staying in Verona

  • 5 of 5

It was our first time using VRBO and it turned out to be a great experience. We loved this place - very clean, secure and has everything you need for short stay right in the down town area. We stayed for tow nights.

Owner was very prompt to address our inquiries. We were met by the lady who walked us through the place.

I definitely recommend this place for stay. This trip was a dedication to our 30th anniversary and Marco made everything to complement our two weeks vacation through Italy.

We rented a car for a one day trip to Lake Garda. Basically staying hree days/two nights in this place should be a great stopping point if you are traveling and planning to visit few cities.

We also recommend to attend Romeo and Juliet play that starts around 9 p.m. , by this time place is not crowed and you can really enjoy this city of love, history, arts and amusement.

Great location in the heart of Verona! ❤️

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights at Marco's apartment and wished we coukd stay longer. The apartment is centrally located and a 5 minute walk to the Arena, Piazza Bra and Juliet's house. The bus stop to the train station is right around the corner and in 10 minutes you're at the station. The neighborhood is safe and quiet so you can sleep well. Supermarket is close by too to get supplies. Grazie, Marco!

Well situated apartment in lovely historic building

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in a perfect location in Verona. It is close to all the famous sights - but not so close that it is noisy or busy. There are good local restaurants. It is quite easy to get to from the train/bus station.

It is well equipped, comfortable and a lovely old building. Arrangements for arrival and departure were very well handled.

Fabulous place in the historic center of Verona!

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful apartment in restored historic palazzo (complete with frescos!) is a wonderful place to use as a base to explore all the sites of beautiful Verona. As other reviews say, it's 5 minutes or less to all the top sites: Piazza Bra, L'Arena, Piazza Erbe, Juliet's house, etc. Marco and his family were the perfect hosts, attending to everything we needed and promptly addressing a few problems to make the stay just great! Grazie mille per tutti! My husband and I spent a wonderful month - the apartment had everything for a comfortable long-term stay, but it would also be perfect for a short visit, too. Can not recommend this place highly enough - it's a special little spot!!!

Overall loved this place and good location

  • 4 of 5

Entering this amazing apartment into a majestic courtyard was impressive, and the apartment was awesome! My first words were "I could live here!" Beautiful solid wood floors, kitchen, eating area, private bedroom and nice washroom. Beautiful decor and frescos... you could tell that this place was arranged with love and care. Beautiful antique furniture pieces and art even. Absolutely lovely. The owner even left some water in the fridge and a few items in the cupboard, like coffee, sugar, oils, noodles... very thoughtful!

My only beef -- and it's a big one - is the washing machine. Despite the fact detailed steps were left in english, the steps were still confusing and when I followed them carefully, the machine was silent. I tried over and over and over... had trouble with the spin cycle (which they call centrifugal). When I followed the instructions after my wash cycle was done (put it on F and hit start again), nothing happened. Silence. I tried at least 10 times. Finally it did start, after we spent over an hour of our precious time to get it going. I sought help, but really didn't get it (other than to be told to follow the instructions.) That was extremely frustrating. After the spin cycle the clothes smelled damp and were still quite wet. It took two days to get them wearable. Being the end of our 10 day vacation, we really needed fresh clothes.

The only other suggestion I would make, is to leave instructions that the hot water tank has a power switch above the kitchen sink. My first shower was a cold one until I investigated the water heater and guessed the switch might be the issue. This is not something north american people are familiar with.

I would DEFINATELY stay in this apartment again and recommend it, but need to figure that washing machine out. Otherwise, thank you thank you for such a beautiful spot.

Owner's Response: Dear Ilona, thanks a lot for your kind thoughts on our apartment, I agree with you that the washing machine is out of date but it's mechanism is the standard for Italian people. Anyway we changed the washing machine with a new one and hope this will be better for everyone else, thanks also to your comment. Kind regards Marco
